What is Action1 RMM?

Action1 RMM is a cloud-based Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) solution created for MSPs and IT professionals to manage endpoints, comply with security standards, and support remote end-users.

From Action1 RMM’s centralized dashboard, users can manage and monitor endpoints, schedule, deliver, and install patches on all the required workstations simultaneously from virtually anywhere in the world. The vendor states the solution can be implemented and scaled within an organization of any size and requires no LAN, VPN, or firewall configurations to securely connect to remote workstations for assistance or unattended support sessions.

Action1 RMM helps users to:

  • Gain complete visibility on the health and security of the managed endpoints
  • Identify missing updates across the entire fleet of workstations, schedule and automate maintenance work from a centralized dashboard
  • Roll out updates on multiple devices at once, silently install or uninstall software, reboot computers, run scripts — support both in-office and remote employees centrally
  • A RESTful API enables Action1 integrations with other solutions to further streamline workflows and boost IT team efficiency

Action1 RMM is free forever for up to 50 endpoints, and it includes all the paid version features.

After looking at different solutions, Action1 [Cloud Remote Monitoring and Management Solution] was the perfect fit for us that delivered all of the features we wanted without being as costly as some of the others alternatives we've looked at. There was no minimum endpoint count and they even offer up to 50 endpoints for free, which is really great for a small organization like us to help us lower our starting costs and still allows us to grow at our pace without having to commit to a defined amount of endpoints to start.

Price for one. The cost is extremely reasonable IMO. Action1 is easier to use for a non-technical person and there is zero maintenance since it is cloud hosted.

Action1 Cloud Remote Monitoring and Management Solution may not be as feature rich as SCCM and Intune, but it does its job without having to set up and support additional infrastructure on your network. It's more user friendly than ManageEngine's Desktop Central but does most of the same tasks you would be getting from ManageEngine's cloud version of their desktop management system.
