We use Adobe Photoshop for a variety of purposes during the creation of various marketing materials, websites, and social media graphics. Photoshop makes it easy to customize logos, edit and resize photos, match custom brand colors and more. In addition to being an incredible tool for customizing graphics, it's also easy to include text when creating marketing slicks and promotional flyers and ads.
  • Adobe Photoshop makes it easy to edit, customize and resize photos which is perfect for social media applications and for building websites.
  • If you download a logo or other graphic from a stock photo site, Photoshop makes it extremely easy to customize and include the brand's custom colors.
  • Incredible Photoshop templates are readily available on endless sites. Download and open in Photoshop to quickly modify the pre-designed layers. Your final product will look like it took weeks to design and create.
  • The learning curve is a bit steep at first. Perhaps a brief tutorial video could pop up the first time you use each new tool or function. (The user should be given the option to watch or close the video, depending on their needs.)
  • The tool bar shows one icon but hidden under that icon are additional tools. New users might not be aware of the hidden tools.
  • Uploading compatible tools, such as additional brushes, is a bit complicated at first. Perhaps create a simple pathway with an upload button.
Adobe Photoshop is perfect when you need to customize graphics for any purpose and require an extremely professional result. So many websites and marketing materials look like they were built by amateurs simply because the photos weren't cropped and re-sized to properly fit the space, and the colors are "close" but not uniform where needed. Photoshop makes it easy to work with photos and all graphic images.

Adobe Photoshop is used throughout the whole organization for all of the photo editing for product photos and marketing photos.
  • Powerful features.
  • Easy to use.
  • The standard when it comes to photo editing.
  • Performance handling with older computers.
  • Designed for users with more experience. Making it easier for brand new users could be helpful.
Photoshop is well suited for editing photos, resizing, cutting and pasting different elements of a photo onto another. It would be less appropriate for writing text or illustrations.

Our company uses Photoshop for web and print design. We are often using to adjust color in photos, create clipping paths, and save different file types. An advantage is how user friendly it is and it works across all platforms...PC and Mac. Being able to work in layers is also a big bonus.
  • Color adjustment of photographs.
  • Clipping paths.
  • Layered files for web design.
  • Font usage could be a little more using friendly. I would like to have more control of formatting of fonts.
Photoshop is excellent for working with graphics and designing for the web. I would not recommend as a page layout program or for designing things for print.

Photoshop is now used by many persons on the flow (over 200 persons) during production. Artists use it to create textures and different types of maps. With Photoshop, we can easily give a nice look to our games.
  • Easy to learn. Learning curve is super fast
  • Easy concept of layers
  • Many different export formats available
  • We are using it in the video game industry but Photoshop does not have a good solution to build a normal map
  • The normal maps are used in the game industry for a long time, but everyone has to use a different software for them
  • Extracting map for 3D models. Photoshop SHOULD have a "extractor map." Adobe should look to how Xnormal does it.
Manual re-touch is super easy. Copy channel, color correcting is also super easy. Masking is really nice. Map extractor SHOULD be there soon. But features for the gaming industry are not there.

I work at a marketing agency and we use Adobe Photoshop for several different projects. We do a lot of photo editing for both digital use and print. We also do website mockups. Everyone I work with uses Photoshop in some capacity.
  • We use Photoshop primarily for photo editing. Perfect for small edits or photo manipulation.
  • We also use Photoshop to create website mockups. This speeds up the communication process with our clients.
  • Using blocks of text in Photoshop is not easy or practical. Anything outside of a few words, I use a different program in the CC.
  • I do not like to be reminded all the time about syncing with Adobe Stock. We don't use it like that and don't plan to. It gets annoying.
Definitely the most diverse tool for photo editing. I would recommend to anyone that edits photos or prepares photos for the web regularly. I wouldn't suggest Photoshop for anyone who doesn't want to dig into all the specific tools. It can be overwhelming for beginners or those without technical abilities.

Adobe Photoshop is mainly used by two departments in our organization. One is the graphics team, another is the marketing team. The graphics team uses Photoshop to design wireframe, mockup and the final UI of websites or Android software before sending it to the developer team. This minimizes the problems of visualization of a concept. And the marketing team uses Photoshop to create ad posters and infographics. Professional marketing services would cost a lot, so Photoshop saves a few bucks there.
  • It is a great design tool. It really helps to realize any concept into something that looks similar to the original idea.
  • Also, it is a great photo editing tool. No matter how much effort you give clicking a photo, there will be flaws. It helps resolving those flaws.
  • The integrated stock library is a time-saver. I can find the perfect image that suits an ad-poster or infographic.
  • Sometimes the developers need different file formats of an image to implement it on a website. Photoshop provides a lot of formats.
  • The software is heavy for low-end machines. Startups like us are low on budget and can't afford high-end machines. In those computers (RAM - 4 GB and Gfx < 2GB), it takes some time to load the app. And sometimes when editing multiple files, it lags a lot.
  • The interface is overwhelming. The trained graphics designers are completely fine with the interface. But people like us in the marketing team find it difficult to reach out to all the options when in a hurry.
  • The software is expensive. It's a lot of money to pay per month for the product, especially when some of the similar programs are being offered for free.
If you're looking for a tool to create advanced graphics, superbly edit your photos, manipulate them, or create a mere ad poster it is a good tool for you. But only if you are pretty expert in using computers. If you're just starting out it will take you some time to adjust to the overwhelming interface.

Adobe Photoshop is being used by middle school students in their multimedia and art classes. It helps them to become better designers and artists. Members of our school public relations team also use the Adobe Photoshop program to edit pictures taken that will go on our social media sites and website. It allows us to get those perfect pictures out there to represent our school.
  • Editing pictures
  • Create graphics
  • Export pictures for web use.
  • It is a big program, so load times are a little slow.
  • It could be a little simpler for users to learn. It is currently very complex.
  • No auto save feature.
It is great for any time that you have photos that need to be edited. Photoshop allows you to basically do anything to a picture which is really nice. It has worked fine in a classroom setting for teaching students how to use Photoshop, but since it is a very complex program, it has taken a while for our students to really understand it.

Adobe Photoshop is being used internally by a number of key members of a few functional areas such as IT, Marketing and Product Development for many things including, creation of marketing content, edit brand photography. It is a fundamental tool for the creation of any sort of graphic content in any organization.
  • Photography editing.
  • Creation of graphic parts.
  • Creation of printing materials.
  • PS is a very powerful tool that requires many years to master.
  • With all-new features being implemented on a regular we're starting to see other apps in the market implementing AI technology which PS is yet to do.
  • Ability to create some sort of workflow similar to what we can do in Lightroom.
Adobe Photoshop CC is very well suited for companies of all sizes (even single professionals) looking to create artistic content, almost dare to say its not just a good tool to have but a must-have if you want to take your creativity to the next level as long as you have the talent to work with it of course.

Adobe Photoshop is used by our social media designers and editors to produce content for social media. This is a team of nearly a dozen people. Photoshop allows us to create professional graphics for anything and everything going on in sports - final scores, upcoming matches, player performances, and so on - that are then posted to our pages across social media (Instgram, Twitter, Facebook).
  • Photo editing
  • Text / typography
  • Layout design
  • N/A
Adobe Photoshop is great for creating unique designs that incorporate a number of useful things like photo editing / retouching, text and typography layout and colour usage. It is an incredibly powerful and intuitive program to use. As a designer within the company, I often times build intricate templates in Photoshop that are then passed down to other members of the team (who are less fluent with design and Photoshop in general) and they are still able to make the necessary edits and updates in order to finalize graphics (for when I am not in office - evenings and weekends).

We use Adobe Photoshop for the creation of all graphics, images, and photos. Our branding and especially consistent branding is very important to us. Using Adobe Photoshop allows us to keep things consistent, fresh, and professional. As well, we use interns who have an incredibly high turnover rate (about 3 months) to create new templates and thumbnails. Photoshop is simple enough for new interns to learn and understand, but complex enough to allow me to do everything I need on a higher level.
  • It allows you to create unlimited layers to provide depth to all projects.
  • It's very user-friendly and customizable
  • It allows you to create pretty much any style of file need, or change any file format.
  • The magic tool and quick selection tool are great! However, they could use some fine-tuning.
  • I'd love an autosave feature like Adobe Premiere.
  • I would love for a more comprehensive mobile version.
Adobe is perfect for any situation that includes images, photos, or graphics of any sort. I primarily use Photoshop right now to create consistently branded images for thumbnails and music playlist covers. That includes both images of people that need editing and graphics with words that have to have a consistent format.

We use Photoshop for our creative for our company and for our clients - Ads, email banner headers, digital photo retouching (for when there are errors in photos), designing social media images, print... There are so many applications for it. Ultimately, it helps us create pro graphics and designs and work with high-end graphics to represent our company and that of our clients. It's a vital program in our line of work.
  • Photo Retouching - Some of our clients have photoshoots - and even after the photographer has edited the photos, we have to crop something out, remove a ring, add a background. PhotoShop is our go-to program for that.
  • High-end graphics - We are able to engage in advanced editing, in-detail, and at high Res so that the images that we make (and that represents our clients) are print or screen-ready.
  • Versatility - You can use it for design, layering images, creating new effects, batching your work - there are lots of possibilities with this program.
  • Price: They used to charge $800 every few years for a newer upgraded version, and now it's on subscription status. Now, to use PhotoShop it's $50 per month. It's not awful, but I'd be a more passionate brand evangelist if they took the cost down a bit more :)
  • Adobe PhotoShop CAN but it isn't ideal to create brochures and multi-page print layouts (you can, but InDesign is a much better product for that).
  • Photoshop is OK for social graphics. Adobe SPARK is the new product to help with batch graphics. (thank you adobe).
  • The difficulty of use - This is an advanced program. I really wouldn't recommend it for newbies. It takes a learning curve to work with it.
Scenarios where we love using PhotoShop:
  • Editing a background
  • Editing someone or something out of a background
  • Removing or adding items to a photo
  • Creating visual effects on or with a photo (making a photo look old or an old photo to look new)
  • Creating print-ready, high-res high-end graphics
  • Creating gradients
  • Creating multi-layer effects on photos
Scenarios where you can use PhotoShop, but other items in Adobe line can facilitate better:
  • Creating illustrations, vectors, or iconic shapes: Adobe Illustrator is better for this
  • Creating multi-page brochures or books: Adobe InDesign is better for this
  • Creating batch images in different renders and sizes for multi-platform media: Adobe Spark is good for this.

This is NOT an easy product to work with. You must have experience and training in order to produce the desired effects (Not for beginners).

It is used for photo editions, mostly when needed to create graphic materials for papers, to correct light and contrast, to delete the background in images or add text information. The graphic design department uses it also when creating mockup materials for brands. It is very useful to present more realistic images of brands applied to materials, such as packaging, bags, business cards and posters.
  • Image processing
  • To create photorealistic renderings
  • Mockups of materials for brands
  • The interaction with other Adobe software could improve, such as Illustrator and Premiere
  • The pen tool resource could be more intuitive
  • Automatic background removal could be a feature
The best use of Adobe Photoshop is related to image processing, including mockups, creating textures and general adjustments to photos (deleting details, correcting skin or cleaning the scenario). It is less appropriate to use Photoshop when creating infographics, adjusting data graphs, mind maps, or to create graphic materials that require vector illustration and/or diagrams.

I use Photoshop for image retouching which is my own initiative. It makes my work that much stronger. Even though it is not a primary software tool for most designers in a role similar to mine I personally find that it gives me an edge in my work.
  • Image retouching.
  • Basic animations.
  • Color testing for accessibility purposes.
  • Better integration with UX tools.
  • Have commonly used features more prominent.
Photoshop is the only tool I use for retouching. It can be used for simple tasks as well as complex tasks. I wish there was a way to have it be linked to Sketch or other UX applications.

As a graphic designer, I use Adobe Photoshop on a daily basis. I design flyers, banners, Social Media posts, etc for businesses all around the world.
  • Removing background
  • Automating certain things i.e adding an image or logo to all images in one click.
  • Integration with other tools
  • Add more shortcuts like 'rasterize layer' could be Control R for example
I absolutely love Photoshop and it would be impossible to do my job without this tool. I believe it's the most complete tool available out there. It has everything I need and as a graphic designer, I always need to create graphics and edit images for the agencies I work with.

Photoshop is used by the marketing/design department. As an integral part of the Creative Cloud, it's a huge part of my toolbox when it comes to retouching, compositing images, image manipulation, etc. Using photoshop is dependent on the situation, however, it is often times easier for me to get the job done in Photoshop versus jumping between multiple programs to achieve the same effect.
  • Image manipulation and retouching like no other
  • Ease of use allows for you to get the same result via different avenues
  • Support for Adobe Photoshop continues to simplify previously arduous tasks and makes everyone's life easier!
  • Clipping masks and quick masks can be confusing for new users in terms of filling them out with a black/white brush
  • Layer types have been consistent for years -- is it time for new ones to expand the world of photoshop?
  • More facial editing features would be great (under liquify tool)
Photoshop allows users to manipulate imagery, composite images, retouch, etc. Photoshop is also great for creating mock-ups of branded material, for example -- creating a mock-up of a t-shirt design by placing the design on the tee prior to going to print. This is just a small example of how Photoshop can save you money in the long term by providing detailed mock-ups prior to sending something to print.

Adobe Photoshop CC is used by our creative team (part of a larger in-house marketing team) in the creation of print and digital materials including flyers, brochures, email blasts, web design and images, and more, as well as for "cleaning up" employee head shots. We use Adobe Photoshop CC often in conjunction with stock photo services, as our corporate branding uses photos more so than vector images. It's a must, and probably the #1 most used application not just in our department but in the creative industry as a whole. You can't NOT use Adobe Photoshop CC.
  • Photo manipulation (cleanup, sizing, cropping, etc.) Most powerful program out there, and best supported and known.
  • Ability to open and save a great number of different kinds of files, including animated GIFs.
  • Ability to open Illustrator files and PDFs for rasterization--particularly handy when a logo in a PDF is needed, but we don't have the file. Seamless!
  • Hard to use, if you are trying to use absolutely ALL the features (nobody would need to do that, really). Most people regularly use only a relative handful of features. Bottom line, it will do what you want it to, but sometimes you have to dig into the menus and figure it out. Just a matter of learning the basics and adding new skills as you need them. Adobe Photoshop CC is a bottomless pit of functionality.
  • I don't like not being able to open more than one document from the intro screen. I'd like to be able to option-click on the thumbnails of more than one document and open them all at once. It really is a problem!
  • More keyboard commands would be great, such as for Crop.
Well suited for creating images that are ultimately to be raster (photographic, with "grain") images, versus Adobe Illustrator CC, which is more suited to the creation of vector (resolution-independent) images. You need BOTH applications, really! Adobe Photoshop CC is well suited for creating very large images, such as for trade-show banners, without stalling or "skipping."

I use Photoshop with various projects for clients and for personal projects as well. It's great for many uses including graphic design and of course photo editing. I use it regularly.
  • It's great for graphic design.
  • I use it for single and batch photo editing.
  • I think Photoshop could be more user-friendly for users who don't use it every day. Sometimes it's hard to remember all the steps to do certain tasks.
  • I absolutely hate the subscription model Adobe has gone to. I would much rather by a license for a particular version.
It's great for graphic design and photo editing. Definitely good for any web design and graphic design business. I think Illustrator is better for creating print designs.

Our company uses Adobe Photoshop for editing part of photos taken by our staff on various devices. As the photos vary in quality and output, we like to give them a once over through Photoshop to get them looking consistently good. We also use it for editing other business digital assets like logos, creating simple signs/flyers, website banners or buttons.
  • Photo editing.
  • Creating digital assets.
  • The interface can get crowded. It would be nice to have several levels of the interface where you can turn on/off elements so if most of your work only needs 5 functions, only show 5 functions.
  • Resource heavy. Using it on a Workstation class laptop, high end cpu, lots of ram, multiple SSDs and nVidia GPU and just starting Photoshop starts working the system hard, fans spin up faster, things aren't as smooth.
Adobe Photoshop is the standard in photo editing, period. You can use other software and it will almost be as good but likely to be missing something or not work as well. Much like Microsoft's Office suite has become the standard, Adobe Photoshop is that for photos and the like. We have tried alternatives but nothing was as intuitive to use like this.

Adobe Photoshop is used throughout our department here at work. It is being used to edit photos, mostly, to then be used for traditional or electronic-based marketing channels. We can easily adjust any photos that we take of our products to be used on any marketing collateral or web-based model.
  • Edit Photos. Exactly what it's meant for. Easy to edit photos to be used in other projects.
  • Take out backgrounds. Saves company time and money. We no longer pay for someone else to take out the background out of product photos. We do that all here in-house.
  • Color adjust. Any time we need the color to be adjusted in a photo, we can easily do that with Photoshop.
  • I would like to see Photoshop upgrade their program so that I can adjust the size of a photo by #, rather than dragging and estimating, then having to do it again after I didn't get the right size the first time.
  • Online tutorials are great and a lifesaver for me. When I need to figure out how to do something, I go to the search for info on how to do it. Wish there was more!
Photoshop is perfect for the person who needs to edit photos. This program is not meant to design, that's what you use InDesign or Illustrator for. So if you need to edit photos, anything can really be done with this program. They have really updated this program throughout the years to be able to do a LOT!

In our company, we develop eLearning training, videos and instructor-led training. Editing images using Photoshop is an essential tool for us. Photoshop is used in our business development department, marketing department, safety training department, and training department. Without Photoshop, we could not develop visually stimulating materials. The amount of training available on youtube and LinkedIn Learning alone makes Photoshop viable for a beginner.
  • Large amount of training available on LinkedIn Learning and Youtube makes Photoshop easy to learn.
  • Lots of features and features to choose from to create different looks from one image.
  • Relatively easy to use and fairly intuitive to navigate.
  • There are less expensive options available, but you get what you pay for.
Photoshop can do nearly anything with an image. Some of the functions are easy to use, such as their filters. If you want to convert an image to appear like a painting, there is a filter that can do that for you. If you want to make a person's eyes bigger, there is a simple function for that, which is amazing. Photoshop can perform a plethora of tasks depending on the person's needs and knowledge.

Photoshop is used by all graphic and motion graphic designers within our organization. Marketing and Training are the two main departments that are using the software.

In addition to some light design work Photoshop comes in handy for altering photos for specific projects as well as a creation tool I use frequently in video projects I'm structuring.
  • Photo alteration (editing the image in size, resolution, content, and more). Having the ability to adapt photographs and graphics for specific uses is invaluable.
  • Image creation is an important aspect of my work in video and motion graphic creation. Photoshop is used consistently in order for me to deliver the content requested in the manner requested.
  • Photoshop is the "go to" software for working with images worldwide. Let's not pretend otherwise. It's the king of the hill for a reason.
  • There's a learning curve. If you don't know it, you'll be limited in what you can achieve.
  • It's not the most straightforward UI. Sometimes you must dig to find the settings you need.
In any situation where you are creating products utilizing graphics and photos, you must have Photoshop. It's really not up for debate. If you're really working on this type of media, you have to have it like you have to have a powerful computer.

Photoshop is used heavily for marketing, large batch photo adjustments and editing projects within the organization for publication. It allows us to quickly make complex edits in batch to large amounts of images in short amounts of time and is very user friendly. It also allows us to easily convert images to other types.
  • Web image generation.
  • Complex editing.
  • Converting image formats.
  • Batch editing.
  • Support could be improved.
  • Steep learning curve for new users.
Photoshop does great when it comes to stitching panoramas, editing large batches of photos and converting images. Cropping is also made easy when transforming images or straightening them out in the crop. The images can be converted into any number of other formats for use on the web or in publications and color can also be fine-tuned.

We use Photoshop almost daily in a variety of ways. It is a superior application for editing and manipulating images. The ability to adjust the color, size and resolution of images far exceeds other similar products. Our work as designers depends on the use of Photoshop and the fact that it is a professional-level program that we can count on for accuracy.
  • Image resolution.
  • Color adjustment.
  • Layering of information about an image.
  • Editing, cropping, and retouching.
  • It is a challenge to learn all of the capabilities Photoshop offers.
It is well suited for large format graphics where resolution is very important. It is best used by professionals who know how to really use the program. It is great for color manipulation or removing unwanted items. Separating elements from their background is made easy through the tools.

Photoshop has been integral in our Marketing department since I started at this company. There is a fair amount of photo editing and manipulation that we need to incorporate into our marketing collateral that contains renderings and photos. Currently, there are no viable alternatives to Photoshop's capabilities--with it's deep abilities and user-interface, Photoshop is likely the only software we'll need for photo manipulation.
  • Photo Manipulation
  • Photo coloring and adjustment
  • Depth in design manipulation
  • Constantly updated via Creative Cloud
Again, Photoshop is best served for photo manipulation, taking things out of a photo--adding things. It does have the capacity to do a wide variety of tweaks that change the quality and look of the photo, including the editing of large RAW photo files. I tend to use Lightroom a bit more for photo coloring.

As a property development company, we have a lot of properties under construction. While we do leave the cranes and half-completed buildings in the shots we share, we like to be able to go in and remove cones, construction tape, etc. that would muddy the image from what it will look like when those items are cleaned up.

Adobe Photoshop is used in so many ways at our company. It is used in the creation of UI elements for websites and for software and also for marketing material creation. It is also used in the creation of textures for 3D models and assets. All of our artists use it and the continued updates and new features continue to help our artists create what they need efficiently.
  • Quick export of assets using batch export for use in software application development.
  • The ability to extract elements from images with the use of the quick selection tool and masks is great.
  • The ability to export images for the web in multiple formats and at an optimized resolution is so useful.
  • Inclusion of web export options for web imagery.
It is greater for photo manipulation or asset creation but it isn't possible to create vector imagery, which is why there is Adobe Illustrator.
