Excellent All Encompassing Platform for Global Companies.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We were initially interested in Deel for the ability to manage all of our employees' lifecycles on a single platform for several entities and EOR contracts across various countries. We've also been able to build out our training, performance management cycles, onboarding, and goal tracking since we joined. Deel has enabled us to keep almost everything in one centralized location for our team.

Pros

  • EOR/Multi-Country Hiring.

  • Customer Support.
  • Constantly evolving and publishing new updates.

Cons

  • EOR contracts can be hard to edit where company policy is more favorable than local regulations (i.e., time off).
  • There are many great features, they just all need to be a bit more in sync.

Return on Investment

  • Ability to hire EOR is much easier.
  • Improved employee experience using one all encompassing platform.
  • Trainings can be created and stored directly in Deel for existing and new hires.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Deel has been incredibly useful as our Employer of Record, allowing us to recruit individuals globally as one-offs or two-offs in locations around the world. Rather than needing a base of operations in these countries, Deel helps us recruit, onboard, and manage the varying employment legislation in each country. This helps our local HR and recruitment teams and ensures we are providing staff in these countries with fair and accurate benefits.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our main use case for Deel is that we have all of our EORs in Deel right now. A specific example of how we use Deel for our EORs is that we have about 60 or 70 EORs across more than 12 countries in Deel, and we use it to hire senior people, directors, VPs, and C-levels while staying compliant and accessing talent all over the world, making it quite a powerful tool for that.

Pros

  • What is very helpful for us in Deel is their flexibility and adaptability to our needs; for example, we have our own custom PTO policies that are global and applied to all Supersiders, but every EOR has their own PTO policy in their country, and Deel allows us to work in the back end with them to ensure that local regulations and Superside policies remain compliant while being flexible.
  • They also connect with us in Slack, which is critical for us, including not just our CSM or account representative from Deel but also many of their other team members who help us quickly resolve problems.

Cons

  • Deel can be improved by making adjustments to contract styles, especially regarding incentives or bonuses, which can be a little tricky, as their legal team sometimes takes their time and doesn't show consistency in what they allow and what they don't.
  • When managing an offboarding in Deel, their team feels a little less collaborative than we would like them to, considering that they are the employer, and they tend to go too much on the safe side with perhaps overly generous offboardings or packages that could be less aggressive, but their interest is to close it without any issues, which just transfers the cost to us; sometimes we would appreciate stronger partnership on the legal side.

  • Deel has positively impacted our organization by allowing us to access talent that we otherwise would not be able to hire because we don't have entities in all those countries.

Easy and Flexible Global Payroll Solution

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our scope encompasses full-lifecycle global worker management and our entire consolidated HR stack. We use Deel to manage US Employer of Record (EOR) hires, a worldwide contractor network, and direct employees. We also use Deel for HRIS, and expense management. Deel solves the problem of fragmented international HR and complex local compliance. It automated our previously messy, manual German payroll so we didn't need to hire a local specialist. Additionally, it solves our the hardware logistics challanges that comes with having a global team. We lack an internal IT department and Deel IT helps manage our equipment budgets, shipping, and handoffs.

Pros

  • Automating global payroll: Deel navigates local regulations to process payroll automatically, eliminating the need for in-house compliance specialists.
  • Managing end-to-end IT logistics: Deel handles our hardware lifecycle globally, from allocating budgets and shipping equipment to securely retrieving laptops during offboarding.
  • Consolidating international HR operations: It unifies the management of independent contractors, EOR hires, time-off tracking, expenses, and equity integrations into a single platform.

Cons

  • The country specific payroll (in our case Germany) still includes some manual pieces which feel like they can be automated
  • A L&D hub/feature would be a great addition

Here at FX Replay, we use Deel to process our payroll payments worldwide. But Deel isn't just a payment platform; it also helps you keep your team organized. You can create profiles, contracts, track growth paths, manage IT teams, track vacations, conduct performance reviews, and run surveys—everything you need for global HR management.

Pros

  • He never fails to pay contractors/employees. (Nunca falla en el tema de pagos a los contractors/employees)
  • The platform is constantly being updated and improved. (Actualización y realización de mejores de manera constante en la plataforma)
  • More than excellent customer service and problem solving (when there are problems)(Más que excelente atención al cliente y resolución de problemas (cuando los hay))

Cons

  • I didn't like that you can no longer manage your teams with Deel IT without a paid service. You could before, and it was an excellent option! I don't know why they removed it. (No me gustó que ahora no podas gestionar tus equipos con deel IT sin tener el servicio pago. Antes si se podía y era una excelente opción! No sé por qué lo quitaron).
  • That at the time of reviewing invoices for payment at the end of the month, they are sorted alphabetically and that the "search" filter works correctly.
  • (Que al momento de la revisión de invoices para pago a fin de mes, éstos estén ordenados alfabéticamente y que el filtro "buscar" funcione correctamente).
  • There's a pop-up that keeps appearing on the platform: "new version available, update" it's really annoying. (Hay un pop up que aparece constantemente en la plataforma: "new version available, update" la verdad es muy molesto).

  • Time savings are the biggest benefit the platform has had for various levels of the company: CEO, HR, and contractors. We were able to reduce the payment processing time for international payments from 3 or 4 days to just a couple of hours! (Ahorro de tiempo es el mejor impacto que ha tenido la plataforma para varios niveles de la empresa: CEO, HR and contractors. Se pudo reducir el tiempo de pago de 3 o 4 días que nos tomaba hacer los pagos internacionales a solo un par de horas)!
  • International presence, prestige, and security. When hiring, you give the employer greater confidence knowing that their contract and payments are managed through a secure and globally recognized platform. (Presencia internacional, prestigio y seguridad. Al momento de hacer una contratación le das más confianza al contrator/employee saber que la gestión de su contrato y pagos son a través de una plataforma segura y conocida a nivel mundial).
  • Rapid expansion. We hire global talent and have your contracts and profiles ready in 1 day, and you can track the entire process. (Velocidad de expansión. Contratamos talengo global y tenemos listos su contratos y perfiles en 1 día y vas haciendo seguimiento a todo el proceso).
