We use LinkedIn talent primarily to resource potential hires. It's been great because we can have folks who are usually doing non-value add activities fill their excess time with sourcing. It's very easy to use and even more simple to fit into your operation. Our response rate is generally about 20% and we're looking to hire many of our folks who we sourced through LinkedIn Talent.
  • Small funnel - you can get very targeted
  • Separates your professional network from your prospecting network
  • Ability to add many people to projects and automate messages
Cons
  • I would love to see the ability to differentiate whether you are looking for undergrad or graduate students
It's great for sourcing candidates. Especially when you have a specific focus on hard facts you want. (School, Time in career, location etc.)

It can improve by creating profiles about people and seeing who fits the profiles for jobs. It would be great to see a way to get suggestions for jobs you are trying to fill.

My organization uses LinkedIn Talent Hub to find contract employees. We do a lot of hiring and contracts usually only last 12-18 months, so we are constantly looking for new talent. The talent team looks for people with similar skill sets to the ones we need, or people who have experience within our industry, to fill various rolls throughout our many departments.
  • Finding talent.
  • Easy to use.
  • Great filters.
Cons
  • Slightly pricey.
  • Web version would be nice.
LinkedIn Talent Hub is great for companies that are constantly growing and bringing in new talent. If you do a lot of hiring, this is a great place to start. I would not recommend to smaller companies or those with low budgets, because it is a paid feature and only really pays off if you hire often.

We use LinkedIn Talent Hub for job posting and passive sourcing. Passive sourcing is the biggest area I use it for currently. It helps us find passive talent. Considering the labor market, it's very important to have a tool like LinkedIn Talent Hub and there are a lot of benefits to it.

  • Boolean search strings.
LinkedIn Talent Hub is very helpful when it comes to passive sourcing. You are able to enter in qualifications easily (without having to do Boolean search on your own) and Talent Hub spits out candidates who match your criteria. This tool is super helpful especially when recruiting for hard to fill positions.

We use this software to look for new candidates especially higher level positions and it has been very helpful during COVID times. It is currently being used across the whole organization. It is helpful in the sense of being accessible anywhere and at any time. It is also not tied to a specific geographical place and it's available worldwide.

  • Pricing is a bit high
  • Minor bugs when trying to pull up profiles
  • Sometimes it's a bit slow to load
It is perfect for finding and access[ing] millions of profiles for people looking to be placed in a higher level position. It's less appropriate for finding local level positions.

LinkedIn Talent Hub is a great platform to be able to manage the pipeline for an interview process and prospecting. Our team uses it to be able to manage the HR process as a whole. Only those who are involved in the hiring process use this software, though everyone is familiar with LinkedIn to some extent because we use it quite often. It helps us to manage the hiring pipeline.
