Overall Satisfaction with Cisco SD-WAN

Cisco SD-WAN is used to connect many distant sites [...] with traditional internet connections or MPLS. The main reason to use Cisco SD-WAN is to [easily make] the tunnel establishments between different sites with traffic segregation and security features applied upon each tunnel. Software-defined wireless area network from Cisco is a serious competitor to other companies that deliver SD-WAN services.
  • Automatic tunnel establishment
  • Routes propagation
  • By traffic type filtering
  • Multiple WAN access management
  • Site failure
  • Traffic monitoring
  • Easy configuration
  • Common management platform
  • Simple tunnels management
  • Securing inter-sites communication
  • Saving costly infrastructures like MPLS
  • Sharing services among sites
Cisco SD-WAN is the simplest to implement with graphical user interface full configuration. There [are] also many automated parts of [the] configuration, like tunnels configurations and routes propagation. Cisco also brings its SD-WAN solution as a complementary solution to users already using Cisco equipment like Meraki and Firepower firewalls. This could be an advantage also.

Do you think Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN's feature set?

Yes

Did Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN again?

Yes

Cisco SD-WAN is well suited for the scenario where there [are] not [many] sites to be connected. It's also better if all sites use [the] same Cisco product, handling third party devices tunnel is not well supported in my opinion. Also, the best situation is that only one internet connection is used. Cisco SD-WAN can handle multiple wan access but it's not satisfying in my opinion.
