Overall Satisfaction with Apricot by Social Solutions

Two of our programs utilize Apricot. Counselors manage their clients' information required for medical records. Supervisors review documents and run reports for billing. Transitioning to electronic records minimizes the amount of paper documents, as well as stores our information without concern of records being deleted or lost. This also helps with program monitoring when our funders visit to audit records - easier for them to review electronically rather than go through binders of client files.

  • As a non-IT person, able to learn how to develop forms and run reports
  • Haven't been able to use the system to full capacity as we do not have an IT person that can guide us through the system. We are all clinicians and had to learn the system using tutorials.
  • Efficiency in completing documents in a timely manner; counselors can work remotely as long as they have internet access
  • Efficiency in supervision; supervisors can review and sign documents immediately
  • Safety and security of records; knowing that our records won't be misplaced or information lost
It has been difficult to take full advantage of the product because you have to have some level of IT training to understand logic and program the system to give you the information you're looking for. Although the tutorials can be helpful, it takes some time to figure it out. Our organization does not have a means of maintaining a full-time IT professional that can help us fully use the benefits. We have not secured more funding as a result of using Apricot.
When we initially researched for electronic records, Apricot was within our budget for the size of our organization
It has been helpful in reducing our paper documents as well as being able to get client signatures as our counselors work out in the field.
