Overall Satisfaction with Azure Backup
We use Azure Backup to ensure that all of our own assets and those we manage for clients are fully recoverable with the proper RTO/RPO targets. The thing that is striking about Azure Backup compared to other cloud environments is how straightforward and simple the initial configuration is. In addition, it's not been my experience to find a straightforward utility designed around managing traditional backups on other major cloud platforms. I was expecting to have to do some of the custom scripting and scheduling that I needed to do in the past and was really happy to discover how easy it is to manage backups with Azure Backup.
- Out-of-the-box simplicity.
- Provides a single location to ensure backups are covered.
- Perhaps makes users a bit more dependent on the UI of the service to use it.
- The lack of detailed APIs makes it a little harder to integrate into an automation chain.
- Allows for quick configuration of backups.
- Recovery is extremely simple.
