Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT
I pay AP, process EFTs, create checks, provide Acctg. reports for different inquiries on payments made by Dept. group.
- Looks for duplicate payments in AP
- Easy to change data, keeps histories well
- We have some lag times that happen when we are doing input....waiting between strokes
- Credit memos...wait time for data to load on large-use vendor files. This has improved some in the last year.
- I have saved time not finding duplicate payments. They appear for my review.
- Interdepartmentally, we coordinate well between Blackbaud usage in various areas of Acctg.
I do create reports for questions in AP fairly regularly. I think I could learn more about creating useful data summaries...but that's my lack of training...Blackbaud does a great job of providing the options for me.

I use queries, reports -- both of which are useful for answering spending questions, summarizing specific Project spending.
Blackbaud Financial Edge is more advanced and broad in its scope of data analysis, reporting. The learning curve, however, was significant. It took us, as a Dept., a couple years to feel comfortable with the changes and completely different setup.
