Use Cases and Deployment Scope

GlobalMeet is the conferencing software used by our company. It solves both web and phone conferencing needs across a lot of users and clients where teams are spread out across several offices and/or countries. It's ease of use and integration with Outlook makes setting up meetings quick and easy. The recording functionality and post call reporting is an added bonus as well.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Integration with Outlook.
Option for either web conference or audio only.
Call in options make connecting easy from any device.
Mobile app functionality.

Cons

Have had issues with losing connection.
Connecting via computer causes bad echo or issues with microphone.
Sharing documents isn't straight forward and requires download of software which is inconvenient for those who do not use GlobalMeet as the primary conferencing source.

Return on Investment

Lower cost than previous provider and easier to use for international calling.

Alternatives Considered

WebEx Meetings

Compares well in terms of functionality and ease of use, but presentation mode isn't quite as clear and visually appealing.

Likelihood to Recommend

The software is well suited for internal and recurring meetings, however it's not quite as flashy as other systems and I still use other providers for bigger presentations or client pitches.

GlobalMeet for Everyday Use
