Meraki is the future of Networks, and you should get on board now.
Overall Satisfaction with Meraki MS Switches
We use them all across the organization, and gives us insights into users bandwidth usage and which apps are consuming the most.
Pros
- A single pane of Glass for all my switches
- They show any interruption of networking easily and at a glance
- The alert me when they go down or come back up
- I can get deep information about what apps are doing on the network
Cons
- Some information gets cloudy when drilling down- but they have a new tool coming out called Insights that is supposed to deal with that (and more).
- Traffic shaping rules should be in the switches and not just the security appliances
- They cost more up front than HP or Dell, but in the long run they pay for themselves by making investigations much, much shorter.
Meraki reporting and cloud deployment is hands down better than any others. Ease of setup and deployment, visibility into the data, ease of use and the lack of arcane tools to manage them makes it a no-brainer. The dependability has also been amazing. I used to have to reboot my HP and Dell switches frequently.

Yes - When there's a network issue, getting an answer right now is always important.
We had setup a new location and had issues with the VLANs and thought it was the local LEC, but we got support on and they helped pinpoint some simple things that straightened it right out.
