Considered Multiple Products
Acquia Digital Experience Platform
Chose Acquia Digital Experience Platform
Frankly, I think it was just good luck that we had a developer who trusted the platform and recommended we use it!
Chose Acquia Digital Experience Platform
Much easier, less costly, and more value for the money. The support for the Acquia tools platform and operation are outstanding. Acquia has been a partner rather than a vendor.
Chose Acquia Digital Experience Platform
Acquia Digital Experience Platform provides all the above features incorporated in your package.
Chose Acquia Digital Experience Platform
Honestly, pantheon are a great provider too and momentum has a large amount to do with our retention here.
Chose Acquia Digital Experience Platform
We chose Acquia for a much better UI that gave non-analytical marketers and easy to use tool where they could create their own reports. The campaign side of things also had an easier to use UI as well, that made the targeting of audiences much easier.
Chose Acquia Digital Experience Platform
Platform.sh is cheap and relatively easy to configure. The challenge they have when it comes to competing with Acquia is that they aren't a Drupal centric service, and don't have the same bench of Drupal products to offer, and don't have turnkey Drupal pipelines and support …
Chose Acquia Digital Experience Platform
Very convenient because it's a suite of products built to work together and Drupal is open-source. The AWS products are very similar, but I really appreciate the Cloud IDE.
Chose Acquia Digital Experience Platform
we have used pantheon in the past for some use cases but now we prefer Acquia over it the reason being the availability of different products to allow us to provide a complete digital experience. A product like a site factory, Acquia personalization, site studio, etc has really …
Chose Acquia Digital Experience Platform
Acquia Personalization integrates well with Drupal CMS and is more straightforward to implement than Salesforce Marketing Cloud Interaction Studio (Personalization). WordPress as a CMS hosted on WP Engine is useful, but much more limited than Drupal CMS hosted on Acquia …
Chose Acquia Digital Experience Platform
Drupal is Wordpress on crack. And using Acquia Digital Experience Platform is like using a managed Wordpress site: Most of the installation and maintenance is done for you.
Chose Acquia Digital Experience Platform
We stay with Acquia because they offer managed updates to Drupal core. Not everyone does. And, they are experts in supporting Drupal. They can often get a little closer to the developer side of things than other companies. Prices and support are similar for similar services …
Chose Acquia Digital Experience Platform
The customer selected Acquia since it had a better support for the US based laws (eg the PCI compliance).
Chose Acquia Digital Experience Platform
Acquia coupled with their easier interface and 24 x 7 customer service can outweigh its competitors anytime.
Acquia provides a full end to end solution for Drupal websites.
Chose Acquia Digital Experience Platform
The flexibility aspect of Acquia Site Studio is unmatched and Wordpress does not provide it on a large scale. The ability to perform bulk operations and security are also the factors in favour of Acquia Digital Experience Platform as compared to Wordpress. They also offer …
Chose Acquia Digital Experience Platform
Although Acquia Digital Experience Platform is an Enterprise solution like the others, it stands from competition because it relies on Drupal's Open Source community and is one of the first Cloud-native solutions so they're building on experience.
Chose Acquia Digital Experience Platform
Acquia is the go-to platform for hosting drupal sites.
Chose Acquia Digital Experience Platform
Acquia Cloud is more of a hands-off approach to Drupal hosting - get the code on the server and that's basically it. AWS on the other hand requires more specialized server and networking knowledge to support a site. Our company wants to focus on content deliver and not on being …
Chose Acquia Digital Experience Platform
I'm still evaluating.
Chose Acquia Digital Experience Platform
Can't compare apples to grapes. But in terms of "Drupal specific" hosting at enterprise level as a PAAS solution I think Acquia is the only one doing it at this scale.
Chose Acquia Digital Experience Platform
Actually, Acquia Digital Experience Platform did not stack up against them, rather it was a great combination to implementing and configuring CloudFlare, the next generation Content Delivery Network (CDN) and different caching Architecture to embed with the Drupal Platform such …
Chose Acquia Digital Experience Platform
We had some limitations with another provider: for example, multisite was not possible. We did not encounter any particular constraints with Acquia Cloud.
Chose Acquia Digital Experience Platform
Compared to other products used, Acquia Digital Experience Platform offers a good balance between configuration flexibility and hosting implementation. Some platforms provide a similar service where it takes away the need to build the hosting yourself, however, they don't allow …
Chose Acquia Digital Experience Platform
Compared to the Adobe product, Acquia is 10 points ahead in flexibility and ease of deployment, and site support.
Chose Acquia Digital Experience Platform
Acquia offers a much better page builder and personalization tool as native features than WordPress. Translation management is also a good feature from Drupal/Acquia, that is not managed well on Wordpress.
ActiveCampaign
Chose ActiveCampaign
Mailchimp simply did not have all the features we were looking for, particularly with regard to list segmenting and automation. ActiveCampaign is more expensive, but it's a big step up for us. I think that Mailchimp is excellent for beginners and those who don't need all the …
Chose ActiveCampaign
pricing is quite competitive compared to similar products. It was also recommended to me from a business partner with a similar line in business
Chose ActiveCampaign
much more user friendly than these other alternatives.
Chose ActiveCampaign
ActiveCampaign feels like the professional, empowered and much more fully set up version of MailChimp. I was using MailChimp when I first started my business, but was then introduced to AC, and it's a million times better.
Chose ActiveCampaign
I used Mautic/Acquia for 4 years. It was more expensive for less features than ActiveCampaign. Also, I find ActiveCampaign is more intuitive and easier to use. The support system is more helpful. The pages are easy to navigate and the menu and submenus are well laid out. …
Chose ActiveCampaign
MailChimp, Mailer Lite, Constant Contact: ActiveCampaign is much better and much more versatile with automations, tags, and options for customizable lists and forms.
Chose ActiveCampaign
Mailchimp is in a different league to the above platforms.
Chose ActiveCampaign
ActiveCampaign has much better segmenting and more powerful automations, contact info, and integrations with other platforms.
Chose ActiveCampaign
In my opinion, ActiveCampaign is wayyyy easier to use than MailChimp. It's easier to choose your lists and to resend to unopens.
Chose ActiveCampaign
Salesforce is a beast! The learning involved to use the system is prohibitive. Mailerlite is limited in functionality but ConvertKit is a solid alternative. Both are easy to use but clunky to navigate, while ActiveCampaign is logical. Mailchimp is great for small businesses …
Chose ActiveCampaign
You'll be able to accomplish everything you need to with ActiveCampaign. A lot of these platforms distinguish themselves with bells and whistles. If a certain 'luxury' is important to you, then go with the platform that offers it. Generally speaking, they can all get the job …
Chose ActiveCampaign
It's simply intuitive! You know what to do and what you can do by just looking at it. So it goes very fast into a natural usage where You don't need to think too long. You can execute faster and build amazing funnels, because the functions are so easy and come with a great …
Chose ActiveCampaign
We selected Active Campaign several years ago due to its competitive cost and ability to integrate well with other software that we were using. With recent pricing changes, however, we will likely be shopping for alternatives.
Chose ActiveCampaign
In my opinion, not easy to use. Very limited in regards with features. I think the forms you integrate in webpages are ugly and not fully customizable. for almost the same price I have more features with ActiveCampaign.

I feel more confortable using ActiveCampaign since it is …
Chose ActiveCampaign
The level of sophistication and detail of the automations and segmentation is much higher with ActiveCampaign vs. Mailchimp resulting in much more targeted campaigns. Also, the user experience is so much more intuitive and easier to navigate with ActiveCampaign.
Chose ActiveCampaign
Clear winner on all fronts over most products, excluding HighLevel.
Chose ActiveCampaign
I don't like MailerLite and Flodesk because they only offer segments, no tags. I like to add many tags to my contacts depending on the products they purchase, and this gets too cluttered when there's only segments. They also don't have clear insights on the home page of people …
Chose ActiveCampaign
I used to use the free version of Mailchimp, but it did not allow me to construct automated email marketing campaigns the way I wanted to do it. So I decided to migrate all my list to ActiveCampaign. The migration process was easy enough. I am happy I did it.
Brevo
Chose Brevo
I chose Brevo because of the price. Mailchimp has better integration with the other tools I use, but it's very expensive. I like that Brevo includes more features, and I also like that it doesn't feel like a monopoly; it seems more like an emerging company with authenticity. …
Chose Brevo
I selected Brevo for specific use cases involving entrepeneurs, the user experience is particularly easy to use and requires less training than the tools I mentioned above. It sufficiently meets their needs, which include but are not limited to: contact and pipeline …

Chose Brevo
Well, these other tools do the same thing, they contribute to email campaigns; however, we tried them and stopped using them because they are not at all simple, and we believe that Brevo is the simplest, most intuitive, and most effective tool that exists for this type of …
Chose Brevo
On the outbound campaign side, Brevo is pretty no-frills, but it's more than good enough if you want to be out of the Intuit ecosystem and don't want to fuss with Constant Contact's legacy vibe.

Brevo is superlative email with marketing tacked on rather than vice versa. If you …
Chose Brevo

La versione gratuita di Brevo è molto più utilizzabile e comprende strumenti più utili e efficienti
Chose Brevo
It's much easier to use

Es mucho más fácil de usar
Chose Brevo
Brevo gives me the perfect balance of bang and the buck. Its really powerful, but it is good on cost. MailChimp was too costly for me, and tools like SendPulse were cheap but lacked the analytics and reports that I desire. SendGrid was decent but often had reliability issues …
Chose Brevo
I chose Brevo because of the ease of use and because the things that Brevo offers are also much better than other platforms
Chose Brevo
I have been using Mailchimp for many years, and honestly, it works well but I wanted to switch to see other options out of curiosity. Brevo seems much faster and more intuitive to me. What I value most about Brevo is the support service. I had a question, and they resolved it …
Chose Brevo
Brevo is more intuitive and flexible. It allows more creativity
Chose Brevo
Mailchimp's pricing is based on the number of contacts and quickly gets very expensive. We dropped our spending budget by two just by switching to Brevo.
Chose Brevo
Favourite preference is Brevo, the others did not work out that much. Either the free version does not support our needs, or it was too much work/effort to set up. So far we are happy with Brevo, using it for more than a year, sending out one email/month. For small ones, like …
Chose Brevo
Forms are better, integrated better with my WordPress plugin and the form design has more features. Brevo was recommended to me by an agency and when I first tried to create the forms I needed for landing pages in it, it proved better, more efficient and with more features than …
Chose Brevo
Brevo is very close in functionality to Mailchimp and closely familiar. When looking for a new provider I was able to trial Brevo very quickly due to being closely formatted in a similar way making the transition and decision to switch much easlier.

It made it super easy to upgrade 300+ Drupal sites to the latest major version in 12 weeks, end to end. It is easy to deploy legal changes and updates to components at scale. Turnkey service to deploy new environments and to clone sites. There are no ecosystem lock-in principles for Customer service/success services and professional services for new approaches.

I've been using ActiveCampaign since around 2018-2019 and I've always been satisfied with the software. It's simple to use, connects with the other tools I use and makes it easy for me to duplicate automations, email templates and workflows as I need to. On top of that, any time I've had an issue (which I think is around twice in the past 5/6 years), the customer service has always been super helpful and my issue has been resolved quickly.

I wanted to pull a publication from MailChimp and park it elsewhere. Brevo was a bit of a pain to set up, but after I invested the onboarding time, it's been a cost-effective way to produce this newsletter. I would encourage someone to build in the time with both templates and editor. After that, using Brevo is as easy as using other services.

Pros
  • Acquia keeps the site up and available. I don't think we've had a second of downtime caused by Acquia.
  • Their administration UI makes it pretty easy to manage the websites at a high level. Check stats, change key configuration values, backup code and databases, manage SSL, create support tickets and manage development teams (users).
  • Their support team can do performance reviews of your website and give you tips for improving performance.

  • The graphic design is very good, especially fonts, colours and templates
  • Flexibility of design and functionality
  • Takes a little while to learn it, but generally user-friendly
  • Looks very professional but doesn't cost much to get started
  • There are masses of integrations for ActiveCampaign, and the ones I tried all worked well and didn't take long to figure out.

  • Sendinblue allows you to send emails that do not arrive in spam
  • Sendinblue, through its security measures and filters, helps keep contact databases well organized and up to date

Cons
  • the support portal can be hit and miss. sometimes there are very helpful people who get back to you in a timely manner, but more often there's a lot of lag time for the ticket to get picked up and in between responses, which can also be less than helpful.
  • it seems like the different departments within acquia (support, management, build teams) don't communicate with each other.
  • because features are so dense and granular, sometimes the workflow or how they are connected can be really complex to access.
  • The email designing part could be easier to use. There are certain simple shortcuts that don't work, for example, adding links is more complicated than it should be, moving blocks around is hard, etc.
  • There's no good way to filter by 'active' and 'inactive' subscribers when editing en-mass.
  • I'd like more reporting data on one page.
  • not easy to move/duplicate sections. much easier to just drag and drop. still working this out.
  • don't like the logo or text included with the newsletter sign up form. have now upgraded, but think this should not be included for lower pricing plans
  • not getting issues completely answered by support team. currently have an issue with email sign up not working on mobile. have been told it is not working, but not given any suggestions on how to fix this.
  • have had unusual issue come up with a link. On 2 separate occasions, with 2 separate newsletters that went out, and 2 different images/articles/links, the link was wrong. Even though we checked it, previewed it and sent test email before we sent out these newsletters and these links were correct. It is the section at the bottom of our current newsletter. On both these occasions, when the customer has forwarded the email they received to us, the link was was to an old link - and it was the same old link on both occasions. We have asked for this to be looked into and are waiting on reply. We are going to try to delete this section this week and re-create. It is not a good look for us.
  • We have another issue with how our newsletter is previewing in Outlook. The images and the text are not lining up - not on every section, but on 2 sections out of the 5 sections. Also, the Read Full Article text in the button is not showing properly. Again, not a professional look for us which we are not happy with.

We're moving away from Drupal as a platform. Drupal 8 and 9 were simply too overburdened and difficult to maintain compared to other offerings. PHP seems like a dying language so we are currently in the process of migrating all of our Drupal 7 functionality and custom modules to a Python/Django/Wagtail platform. This doesn't mean Acquia isn't a great service, they are professional and top-knotch, but the only way we'd say with them is if I didn't complete the migration.

I am committed at the moment. Rebuilding the automations I have would be a huge time drain. Plus the cost of learning a new system and the risk to deliverability of porting a 6,000 person list to a new platform. Also, AC offers everything I need ast a reasonable (but a little high) price. So, why not a 10? Because, early 2023, AC dropped a massive 2x price hike on long-term customers. They knew few would shift, so this feels like a cynical cash grab and left a bad taste, If they do something like this again, this camel will have a broken back.

ActiveCampaign has been the easiest marketing automation software we have ever used. They provide tips throughout the entire process of anything you are building. Their support team through LIVE CHAT has been extremely fast and helpful. The monthly meetings provided with the enablement team has helped us through several large and urgent needs.

It's okay, it's easy to use, has good features, and good automation options, but it lacks better delivery support. Many messages end up in spam, even though I have a dedicated IP address that I pay for separately, and I think it needs more design options to make emails stand out, especially in terms of typography. That's why I'm not giving it a 10. It also lacks integration with other tools.

I haven't experienced application errors or unplanned outages at all. Active Campaign is ultra reliable and I would not be using them if that were the case. Also, the helpful emails they send are welcomed and informative, and present very practical tips and guidance for using the platform. This might be the best part. The chat support lady offered to make a video to help me solve my problem. I worked in customer service for years and I've never done that, lol. So, if they're offering things like that, I can only imagine that they'd be able to handle most any issue you throw at them.

We chose Acquia for a much better UI that gave non-analytical marketers and easy to use tool where they could create their own reports. The campaign side of things also had an easier to use UI as well, that made the targeting of audiences much easier.

I transitioned from Mailchimp to ActiveCampaign because it was so much more user friendly and allowed me to do a lot more in regards to lead magnets than Mailchimp can. Scalability
The DXP tools can handle millions of requests and can scale automatically to fit your needs. We have clients that use only part of the DXP tools and have a small usage, but even in these cases they see great value in using tools like personalization and CDP.

My web designer told me about Active Campaign and although I don't recall which platform I had before, I LOVE Active Campaign and its user friendliness. The transition was seamless and I've never had a problem with functionality or server failure.
Active Campaign provides so many features, and makes it easy for non-techies to maneuver around the site with ease. They capture information and put it in an easy-to-read format.
At this point, I don't think I'd ever use any other platform!
