Chose Webex App
Webex is better than Skype. But need to improve to compete with zoom. Zoom user base is growing rapidly with its simple design and easy-to-use interface. WebEx needs to be simplified further.
Chose Webex App
Webex App is easily integrated, especially for companies that are already using unified communications and collaboration equipment. Compared to Zoom, which is mostly targeted to "fresh" users as it does not need a baseline footprint on the company. We also already use a lot of …
Chose Webex App
Cisco Jabber is competitive against Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Slack, all 3 of which we also use. However, I can expect t to cede more ground in the future as more organisations embrace the other 3 applications.

Chose Webex App
Webex is superior to Microsoft in video collaboration. Webex Meetings interface has come a long way, and the functionality and usability are superior. Where Webex is not so useful is document management. The interface for MS SharePoint/Onedrive is there, but it has been …
Chose Webex App
Webex App is primarily utilized in our company for Executive-Level meetings and occasionally internal meetings on a department level.
Chose Webex App
Lately, Webex is adopting many features of MS Teams. Both platforms can be used interchangeably, really depends on the participants and which platform is more compatible with all so that we can expect [fewer] problems for the planning and also during the execution of the meeting.
Chose Webex App
Albeit being slightly less intuitive to use, I would consider Webex App is more "professional" or formal than Zoom, and we preferred to use Webex App because it was readily available and already used by most people.
Chose Webex App
We selected Webex because we are a Cisco partner and Cisco products are known to be the best. When we evaluated it, several requirements were brought up but the one we were more concerned was security. Cisco showed us how secure it was and it was enough for us to decide to …

Chose Webex App
Skype had its limitations and to support PSTN calls with not very intuitive. Slack is a beast. That's the reason why we have a campus agreement today. My central IT folks love it. Sure WebEX teams can do what Slack can do but Slack was first out the day and landed fairly easy.
Zoom
Chose Zoom
I wouldn't say I like Teams; it's complicated, and it lacks functionality; often, clients use Teams, so im forced to use it, but during meetings, I end up sending them Zoom links so we can continue on Zoom.
Chose Zoom
We've selected Zoom because it integrates easily with our CRM and allowed to port our phone number. Unfortunately, their billing and tech support are really bad.
Chose Zoom
I would say that Webex is almost similar to Zoom in regards to the enhancements and usage. The UI of Webex is a bit simpler. Whereas the zoom UI has a lot of information and a first-time user might need some time to get used to it. Zoom is way very inferior to GoToMeeting
Chose Zoom

Compared to its competitors, Zoom is more cost-effective, as well as simpler to install and use. It's also more reliable, as Google Meet's call quality has been poor for meetings larger than one-on-one. Even Microsoft Teams has a Zoom plug-in for teams to use. I chose Zoom, so …

Zoom is a lighter, more focused utility. Teams wants to cram everything into one app, and you end up fenced in a jumbled, cluttered workspace. Zoom could benefit from better integrations, though. My experience with Webex is limited, but the interface, especially with email …
Chose Zoom
Zoom provided cost savings, so SJSU switched from Webex to Zoom.

Considerably better and more professional.
Chose Zoom
Zoom has simply been easier to use and better quality product compared to Cisco WebEx. Meetings run smoother, video and audio delay is minimal, sharing content is done with a click of a single button, and on top of that, there is also great chat build right into the Zoom client.
Chose Zoom
Cisco has the end to end product line that includes the endpoint and Webex meeting. Most notably, the Cisco Room Kits Suite of products are high quality and easy to install/use. They look professional too, whereas the 3rd-party product by Zoom lacks that kind of professional …
Chose Zoom
I've used them all, and there's no competition. It just works! I used to work at Netflix and we used Google Hangouts. It was terrible and had limited features and we did everything possible to hack it to have the features Zoom natively has. Organizations big and small will love …

Cisco Webex Teams and Zoom are communication solutions designed to help users collaborate and communicate online. Zoom is primarily a web and video conferencing platform, with additional collaboration features. Cisco Webex Teams is more of an online collaboration tool that includes video meetings, group and private chat, file sharing, and interactive whiteboarding capabilities.

On TrustRadius, Cisco Webex Teams is mostly used by midsize businesses and enterprises. On the other hand, Zoom’s user base is more evenly distributed among small, medium, and large organizations.

Features

Both Zoom and Cisco Webex Teams provide full-featured video conferencing and persistent chat features, but they each have their own strengths.

Cisco Webex Teams integrates well with other Cisco products, making it ideal for businesses already embedded within the Cisco ecosystem of products and services. It provides a centralized collaboration hub for users and offers multiple security features as well. Cisco Webex Teams also includes tools to help users create chatbots that automate common responses and tasks.

Zoom is primarily known for its easy setup and use. Its controls for meeting hosts are intuitive and accessible. Sidebars and breakout rooms help hosts dynamically organize attendees, making it especially useful for educators managing their students. Zoom users also appreciate its low price point and high audio/video quality.

Limitations

However, both products also have their limitations. Before investing in either Cisco Webex Teams or Zoom, consider the common pain points other users have and any missing functionality each platform may have.

Zoom may have a low learning curve, but it lacks some quality-of-life features for managing participants. For example, meeting hosts cannot unmute all participants or disable all participant video feeds. Some Chromebook users have experienced missing features or low-quality video. Users also report consistent issues with Zoom’s billing and support services, suggesting that these departments might be understaffed or underfunded.

Cisco Webex Teams, on the other hand, can have trouble integrating with third-party (i.e. non-Cisco) products. Users report problems integrating with Sharepoint, MS Office, Jabber, and even their headset hardware. Its administrator controls can be clunky, and some users complain about the lack of management tools for large numbers of users, teams, and workspaces. Although the product is frequently upgraded, users are often confused by poorly-explained UI redesigns and new features.

Pricing

Both products use a tiered subscription pricing model, though Zoom is billed annually while Cisco gives users the option of being charged monthly or yearly. Zoom and Cisco Webex Teams also both have a free pricing tier. The Zoom platform consists of four different products, the core Zoom Meetings platform, Zoom Phone, Zoom Video Webinar, and Zoom Rooms. The pricing information below corresponds to the Zoom Meetings part of the platform.

Zoom has four pricing tiers, the first of which is free. The free plan allows users to have unlimited 1-on-1 meetings and group meetings with up to 100 participants, but caps meetings at 40 minutes. The three other pricing plans all charge per year per license and range from $149.90 to $199.90. Users on higher-priced tiers have access to features like hosting meetings with up to 500 participants, SSO, cloud storage for recordings, meeting transcription, and company branding options.

Cisco Webex Teams’ free plan and allows users to host meetings with up to 100 participants for up to 50 minutes. The four other Webex Teams pricing tiers start at $14.95 per host per month and increase up to $29.95 per host per month. Users on the paid plans have access to features like up to 24-hour long meetings, automatic meeting transcription, 5 GB of cloud storage, dial-in options, and hundreds of meeting participants.

The biggest use case I have for Webex is the public and private Spaces feature. It is so handy to have a single place where I can collaborate with team members on a single project. We can chat about new ideas and share files just on that specific project. That way I am not having to search email, or a Sharepoint site or a network drives for files. And I don't have to search through a separate chat log for ideas for this project. Add to that that I can use the Webex app on my PC, Mac, iphone and Android tablet and that makes it the killer app.

I think Zoom runs circles around Teams! I just wish starting meetings was easier - anyone with a link should be able to start the meeting the way you can in Teams. It would also be great to be able to see participants when you are sharing your screen.

Cisco
  • High-quality, high-impact communications in our workflow.
  • It's great for sharing large documents, it doesn't slow down our communications.
  • The dark mode is excellent, it has a good image and seamless integration features.
  • We can record meetings, which is perfect for backing up any information that may be overlooked.

  • I love how easy it is to set the focus on the presenter. It is annoying when people don't spotlight themselves as a presenter, so you get to see the whole gallery of attendees in smaller, two-inch windows.
  • I like the capability of having break-out rooms. Even though I don't use them very often, it is nice to have them available if the right situation presents itself for smaller group chats.
  • The recording quality is better than I have experienced with other products (Microsoft Teams, WebEx, etc.), and the fact that it is already an MP4, so I don't have to convert it for publishing on our intranet is huge to me.

Cons
Cisco
  • The PIN message function is getting deleted after some time. I would prefer it to retain all PIN messages.
  • Option to add multiple quiet hours. This will allow me to set quiet hours for the whole weekend and not just the time range similar to weekdays.
  • Paste cells on messages. When I paste, for example, a 3x3 cell from a spreadsheet, the columns and rows are removed.

  • Sharing zoom complete information is not visible on the screen, and also a bit is confusing minimizing and maximizing.
  • Every time someone enters the chat, a chat box appears on my screen, and some features are missing from this version.
  • Automatic conference connection based on a schedule isn't an option, and neither is enhanced security measures.

I don’t have access to video features.) In an age when our smartphones
do everything but call our friends, family, or clients, it’s refreshing
to have a desktop app that can make calls in the smartphone’s place. It
seems appropriate in a time when we’re all worried about the robots
rising and taking over the world. Why not transfer the functionality of a
telephone to the same computer where we program those world-dominating
robots? It’s practical. Cisco Jabber takes the classic idea of making
calls with a phone and puts it in the same place where we spend most of
our worktime. This frees up desk space, as well as keeps the smartphone
available for what it was invented to do: take Instagram photos. Not to
mention, because it has its own number, it makes it easier to contact
clients without having to give them your personal phone number. Need to
make a call, but you don’t want to share your home phone? Cisco Jabber
makes that easy. And best of all, because you call through your
computer, all you need is a microphone to speak and speakers to listen,
and you never have to pick up the phone at all. If you hate having
sweaty ears, then Cisco Jabber is your app of choice. Note: Because I
have access to phone features only, and Cisco Jabber has more available
that I can’t use, I can see where it may also be a pro for business
owners that Cisco apparently allows custom features availability for
users, depending on roles.

We're sticking with Zoom for the foreseeable future--given its compelling feature set, ease of use, and advanced technology, there's just no other competition to be excited about. Plus it's a Gartner-recognized industry leader, so it's a rather easy choice.

Webex is quite usable, and it is, in fact very easy to use as well. You don't need a lot of documentation to learn how to use the app as it's mostly self-explanatory. The user interface is easy on the eyes, and people can see buttons without issues. Overall, WebEx's front-end design is great and I don't have much issue with it.

I would say every time I open it, it is there, there are times that our users have to sign out and back in to get it to work or even do a full exit as the app will disconnect from the controlling the desk phone, but some easy steps to sign-out or fully exit the app gets the user back up and running quickly.

Zoom has among the best performance of any video conference platform, as I've mentioned several times. Besides that, their Chat platform works great, and their back end always runs smooth. It's unfortunate that reporting can now only be done by one month at a time, but nonetheless, it only takes a second to run any kind of Zoom report, whether it's an attendee report, Poll results, a user report, a list of meetings from the past month, etc.

As I've written before, Zoom makes us feel like we matter and that we're a client rather than a customer. They want us to succeed and they put in the time to make sure that we do. I feel like they're more of a business partner rather than simply a vendor or supplier. They spent a lot of time onboarding with us, giving us demos, helping us get set up, and then giving us follow-up to be sure it's going well.

Very easy to create. All operations are done without any problems with our business growth. All people like the experience including me as an instructor. The tools that WebEx App offers us are very complete for working in a virtual classroom, whether it is sharing the screen, the different display modes, the whiteboard, or even the scoring tools on the screen, it allows me to do my job as an instructor as if I was face to face with the participants.

A lot of drops from calls/meetings frustrated me and my customers in some cases, but with Webex App, I see very less (or even null) drops, even when I am streaming HD content through my camera, even when I connected with the support team for other products for an explanation, they blame it on ISP even though my ISP gives around 200 Mbps speed, Webex App is miraculously never "affected" by ISP speed.

Zoom cannot be beaten for ubiquity - 100% of my clients and prospective clients are already familiar with Zoom. This is the #1 reason why I use Zoom. Additionally, Zoom integrates with AcuityScheduling, saving me a lot of time in creating meetings and adding them to the calendar. Zoom is disappointing in terms of video quality, interactivity features, and privacy. In cases where I need to use the recording of webinars for digital products, I will always use Crowdcast, and in cases where privacy is essential, I will use JitsiMeet.

Because the Basic licenses are completely free, and because it's very easy to configure and install Zoom, and because anyone can join Zoom from a link without needing an account, scaling is a Breeze. Cisco
  • Cisco Jabber helped us develop a Business Continuity Plan in case of emergencies.

  • It is possible to record online meetings for future reference and more effective customer service. As we dealt with a lockdown, Zoom helped our business run smoothly.
