CrowdStrike Falcon replaced VMWare Carbon Black. We looked to replace Carbon Black because of the constant upkeep needed to maintain the environment with a high price tag. From failed endpoint upgrades to constantly having to update detection capabilities to an account team that was not engaged or available to assist with concerns, there were many reasons to make the change.

We have replaced it with Securite Total Security. It is using lots of computing power from Endpoints while performing a scheduled scan. Also, every time monitoring is required for Endpoints signature update and needs to perform the manual process to update the missed out Endpoints which is really annoying. The CrowdStrike Falcon has eliminated all such issues with just easy deployments and complete insights.

We replaced Trend Micro Apex One as our outgoing endpoint protection platform. Trend Micro did the job for many years but it was growing more difficult to manage with our small team and it was really lacking features and missing key detections. Trend Micro has no managed offerings short of utilizing a third party which we weren't wanting to do. The benefit of having CrowdStrike manage their own product is there can be no finger-pointing - it's their product that they manage.

We replaced Symantec Endpoint Protection. The contract between our organization and Symantec was coming up. There was no doubt that we will not renew at the time as the quality and price of Symantec Endpoint Protection were degrading and not up to our standards. Symantec maybe caused more problems than it actually helped in our organization.

We replaced Sophos in our environment. We had a on-site version of Sophos that did not include Next-gen AV intelligence. We needed a better product that would give us better visibility and block additional threats as the security landscaped as changed. We needed to enhance our visibility but yet have a lightweight agent that was easy to manage. We needed a more proactive product for our organization.

We replaced Symantec Endpoint Protection mainly because we have a lot of commercial an technical follow-up issues. Also because the protection was not always as good as we wanted, with lot of false-positive and a kind of lack of protection against RansomWare, and difficult to maintain up-to-date even with a centralized console [because of] its on-prem architecture.

McAfee endpoint protection was replaced because it was not doing an effective job of preventing infections. CrowdStrike Falcon Endpoint Protection has blown it away in terms of preventing downtime and incidents.

We replaced Symantec Endpoint Protection and Windows Firewalls. The administration of Windows Firewall is too cumbersome to be done with a tool like Symantec or CrowdStrike. The Symantec engine needed to be replaced because it wasn't adequately protecting us and the administration time was extremely inefficient.
