- UiPath has very good usability. The user interface is very intuitive and is very easy to use.
- Their training and certification paths are excellent. Anyone can complete their basic to advanced levels of certification trainings with ease.
- There is good availability of activities or APIs. The activities cover most of the needs for automation. Their Orchestrator platform helps in scaling up the processes and data sharing between the robots using their assets.
- There is good community support and very good documentation of the platform.
- Not all applications can be automated using the UiPath platform.
- Sometimes the platform fails to identify the elements which are required.
- The platform is not robust, it tends to fail in certain cases with exceptions.
UiPath is the present and future of RPA
- Ease of use

UiPath Review
- UiPath is easy to learn. They have the UiPath Academy (on-line courses) which is easy to follow and to learn how to use the platform and learn about what RPA is.
- There is a official Forum too! So you have any doubt there will be always someone to help you to solve it.
- Keep up the good work!
- Since I am still in the learning stage, up until now I haven't faced anything that would make me dislike it.
Very good RPA tool
- Process Automation
- Web Scraping
- OTR Text Reading
- VM Automation
- Advanced Training lacks some additional steps
- Opportunity for advanced features
- Orchestrator needs some improvement
Easiest way to implement RPA: UiPath
- It is easy to learn and use. There is a great UiPath online Academy that will help you on the way to become a versatile user of the software.
- And even if you are stuck at some point, there is a great community and great support from UiPath, that will definetly help you out.
- The robot management system Orchestrator is a great tool to monitor your deployed bots.
- You do not need extensive coding knowledge to start building your own bots and you will gradually become more confident as you proceed to build own solutions.
- Coding knowledge is not required, but it should be stated that you should have some knowledge of it if you want to get the most out of UiPath. If you start building more complex processes coding is needed for the most parts. You don't have to be a pro but you should understand the basics of the .net framework and the languages that are using it.
- The price of licensing the software and the different kinds of bots should be displayed easier online. It would make things more transparent from the get go.
- Support can sometimes be a bit slow, but most of the time it is the opposite. So not really a big deal.
A simple and very effective RPA platform
- UiPath user interface is very intuitive and user-friendly.
- UiPath Academy provides lots of great training courses and training material.
- There's good support for developers to help with coding mode advanced automation processes.
- Our developers faced some application slowness while developing a very complex process with dozens of mxml files. This was only during development though, the actual automation execution is running very smoothly.
UNICORN in RPA
- Browser Automation. Beats Selenium in this.
- Drag and drop makes it fun and easy to understand. The community is really helpful.
- Endless possibilities with cognitive introduction and Standford NLP.
- Easy to manipulate and understand the selector concept.
- Plug and play for IT reports, employee task management.
- Creating more job opportunities in every segment of the product.
- Engaging more complex systems and scalability.
The most user-friendly RPA Tool
- User-friendly tool to implement automation.
- Free learning platform with detailed material helps an organization to get trained and find developers easily.
- Regular upgrades with new features released almost every quarter.
- The best community forum where someone can post and get answers for most of their queries.
- Few legacy applications are still not supported for automation. But UiPath recently announced some activities with which legacy systems can also be well automated.
- No inbuilt chat functionality among the other developers of the team.
- No inbuilt error reporting feature. A support ticket should be raised manually.
UiPath: one of the best RPA tools of 2019
- Various options to automate Citrix applications.
- Intuitive user interface to develop and design the solution. Three different ways to design the workflow allows us to get a better design.
- UI browser and intuitive editable selectors allow the developer to fine tune the robot for better automation.
- A wide range of third-party packages and a very warm community to support and solve most doubts.
- Impressive interaction between workflow files.
- The user interface is very intuitive, but could be more effective if the design allows a better view of the large and complex workflows
- Cross-platform support, not only Windows users but Unix user as well.
- They can be more orginal in the layout of the Studio app. Feels like a Office app for RPA
- Orchestrator for Community Edition users works very slowly and not that fluent as expected
I love UiPath
- This is easy to understand.
- This won't take to much time to implement.
- I'm from a finance background and even I'm developing bots.
- Many people not aware of UiPath.
- UiPath study academy needs to be improved.
- The certification is hard to archive.
- Excellent management of project files and dependencies
- Easy integration with .Net technologies, also you can include new activities and features through the Package manager, that use all the power of NuGet
- Large set of activities that allow you to build the bots for a lot of scenarios and use cases. The limit is your imagination.
- Easy deployment of the projects and bots, locally or remotely through Orchestrator platform
- Easy coding and programming by the use of a quite friendly language: VB.net
- They have to improve the way of how to show error message to the developer, I mean in which file is the error and also, offer suggestions in case that you declare a wrong type of variable or if you are missing something else.
- For Citrix/Remote desktop environments they have to improve the recognition of some elements in the remote screen, the added a new package to do this but is still in beta version and need several adjustments.
- It would be awesome if we might choose the language we want to use to code the activities, because even when VB.net is easy, is not the most popular language, rather, C# is currently one of the most famous
Teaches your Devs to earn you money!
- As an Automation Platform, UiPath Studio and Orchestrator excel at helping to identify, catalogue, and improve workplace processes. From improving security to reducing human error and processing time, Automation via UiPath is now a vital part of our company.
- To teach yourself and your team, UiPath Academy Certifications can be completed in about 2-3 weeks, to not only educate yourself about the platform but to improve your teams capabilities and guarantee ability.
- Bot Logs and Process monitoring is efficient through Orchestrator, cutting down on the amount of time it takes to make sure that your client automations are performing their tasks.
- A lack of macOS Support requires additional hurdles for certain client implementations, or forces you into using VMs.
- UiPath is attempting to sponsor an open source and user friendly community, but forgoes native GitHub tools in favour of paid Version Control systems.
- Built-in Citrix recording is the current weak point we have found, and may require you to find alternative software for complex automations.
UiPath - Best RPA choice for beginners and experts
- Easy integration with other applications
- Free On-line academy
- Easy-to-learn
- Free Community Edition
- UiPath has Orchestrator to manage robots but it's not worth it when we consider a project with less than 50 robots.
- Lack of documents about how to create Custom Activities. It would be great to have some detailed information. Today we have just the basics, so if you don't have experience it can be very hard to develop.
- It will be great to implement AI features in the future.
When I started working with UiPath I realized that it was a tool that would make a big difference in the market. Using it since 2015 I realized that the main focus of UiPath is to bring ease in the development of the robot. And that's exactly what the tool provides us. In addition, the online academy is a great differential. With free courses and a wide range of courses available, it is very easy for anyone to learn what RPA is and start applying it on a day to day basis. The Community version of the tool is also a great advantage compared to other tools available in the market.
In addition to the strengths mentioned above, the ease of integration with other tools is also somewhat surprising. Creating Custom Activities is something very easy to do. To this day I have not seen any situation where it was not possible to use UiPath to resolve because of this easy integration.
I can not stop commenting also about the Forum. There you can connect with several people who also use UiPath and share experiences. With just a few clicks you can find the solution that bothers you so much, as well as being able to share your own experiences.
In conclusion, I believe that UiPath is the market leader precisely for bringing ease of development and especially for listening to its users.
I've been working with UiPath since 2015. When we compare this RPA tool with others available in the market, we can see that the big difference is community-focused work. In addition, we can see that Uipath has been perfecting itself very quickly, which makes it a bit difficult to keep up with so many changes in such a short time. I would not say that this is a disadvantage, but that it is necessary to be in constant learning. Another point I wanted to mention is that the Orchestrator is a bit expensive, since it is necessary to purchase it separately. We should also make it clear that Orchestrator is only worth it if we have at least 50+ robots in operation. The lack of a resource that manages fewer robots is something that would be needed.
Best RPA Tool for Stable Processes
- Computer Vision: Latest CV activity enables efficient Citrix automation.
- Custom Activities: UiPath is very close to .net and C# languages and helps to expand the functionality by writing custom codes for actions which are not supported by UiPath
- Heaven for developers of a C#, Java, dot net background.
- Ease of development and BOT implementation.
- Awesome UiPath support team always help you whenever you are in a difficult situation.
- Not very great PDF activities.
- Debugging and testing is not up to the mark as provided by other RPA vendors
- Code sometimes becomes very large as each activity occupies some space on your computer screen. So it is difficult to look at the whole code in a single view. Another too,l like (AA), is good at that.
Twentieth century tool to be used
- Screen scraping
- Integration with SAP
- Excel automation
- SAP coordinate recognition
- Data security
- Audits
- Very easy to use, great learning curve. The UiPath academy is possibly the best portal to learn among other tools.
- Speed to start produced verified results.
- Excellent orchestrator for managing robots and logs.
- Best OCR is available on the market, including Citrix automation.
- I miss a functionality similar to the "immediate window" of Visual Studio. The Immediate window is used to debug and evaluate expressions, execute statements, and print variable values. The Immediate window evaluates expressions by building and using the currently selected project.
- Adapting the automation to new versions of the product can be challenging.
- It's not the most cost-friendly tool in the market.
UiPath has come on cue
We started an Automation department inside our company which is currently training new developers, but we are planning on promoting the use of UiPath so we can have even more developers. Our goal is to have 60% of the company able to deploy different types of automation across our different clients.
We can replace human workers doing labor-intensive repetitive tasks, and focus them on other more difficult ones. Also, in the past, we have had to spend quite some time training human workers who, in the end, do not last more than 6 months. It ends up as a fail. Just being able to replace human workers with bots is going to be an awesome plus at our company.
- Setting up UiPath is really easy and they have a LOT of training information in their Academy, so there is no way you will get lost.
- They are always looking for ways to be better. We were having issues working with Citrix environments, but recently they released an update which will let you work inside of these type of environments like it was a regular automation.
- Their community and forums are really helpful. They are always promoting their users to help each other inside the forums. You can also see the "experts" helping often.
- The abrupt updates have been an issue for me when I am developing my bots. Sometimes the updates came with a bug, and I have to fix it.
- Having up-to-date training material would be really awesome. We have found that some documents inside the Academy are pretty old (maybe 2 yrs already?).
- It's too white. The background being white sometimes bother my eyes. They had a new theme which is black, but it's still in beta phase.
It's still not very good for working inside Citrix environments, but they are working on it.
- Excellent customer service, quick responses, and detailed and helpful information.
- Online academy platform with video-classes to improve your UiPath skills.
- Easy to handle tool, as there are drag and drop activities used to create a robot.
- OCR activites could be more accurate.
- Image Recognition activities as well.
- The RE-Framework could be better explained, as it is one of the most important Frameworks to automate a process.
UiPath as a RPA tool
- UiPath is easy to use compared to other RPA tools like Pega Robotics. It provides amazing opportunities even for those who are not from a technical background. The use of Orchestrator really helps in deploying large implementations with such ease.
- RE Framework and Orchestrator. Both are amazing tools that can help you to deploy and execute bots.
- UiPath Academy. This is one of the best Academies I have ever seen. One can learn and advance if he goes through the courses. One has to study as assessments are designed in that way.
- There should be an offline Orchestrator provided for big enterprises since some banks hesitate to put their data in the cloud. Secondly, it will help with managing bots as the current provided Orchestrator will face scalability issues in the future.
Clients have to understand that any RPA tool can only automate those functions which are already present in the applications, and they do not add new functionalities in existing code.
RPA is the future! UiPath is the leader of the future!
- Easy to use - You can easily pick up the way to use it because of its user-friendly UI and the comprehensive tutorials.
- Easy to learn - UiPath provides a really useful Academy Platform where you can get all the required knowledge to start using the software and automate business tasks.
- Easy to implement - It provides a wide range of activities, you can automate a lot of programs/software with it. It just needs UiPath Studio installed, and that's all.
- There are some annoying bugs, which can take a lot of time to debug. I mean, a few hours pass with debugging until you realize, that the problem you've met, is caused by a bug, and it is not because of faulty code.
- It is a bit easy to get lost in the naming conventions (eg. Robots, Orchestrator, Job, Process, Queues, Environment etc). However, after the training, you will quickly get used to it in a real-life working situation.
- UiPath needs to improve in terms of the certification platform (it is really old school and outdated), and because of the monthly community releases - sometimes, when you are watching the training videos, you can realize that it was recorded in a much older environment.
Uipath - Pretty good but the road is still long
- Uipath has a very intuitive UI that makes it very simple to understand even for people that don't have very high technical knowledge.
- The highly reliable Orchestrator permits you to have full control of your bots remotely.
- Easy to deploy in a production environment, linking the robots to the Orchestrator.
- Could use more OCR options.
- The REFramework could have some improvements.
- Operator compatibility.
A powerful tool with a community of active developers
- Low cost of implementation and maintenance of architecture compared to competitors.
- A rich collection of examples and an active community for problem-solving.
- Diversity of packages and add-ons.
- As in other tools, OCR and its applications are limited and only a few are effective.
- Rules of argument in the code are confusing.
- Templates are useful but not applicable due to the diversity of the utility.
Why UiPath?
- Fast Coding... Complete a Project very Quickly
- Easy to understand UiPath Studio and its components
- All components are separate like UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, and UiExplorer for creating complex selectors
- Easy to integrate with a third-party library
- Any one can see code and change the code....No login authentication. This is the only con I have seen so far.
- With automation you can create a daily reconciliation report with no error. UiPath helps with retrieving a report from SAP, our mainframe, web sites, etc., and VBA macros which helps to create reports very quickly...very useful for back office work.
Easy to use RPA tool with a wide range of possibilities
- User-friendly and easy to learn.
- A wide range of out-of-the-box functionalities (e.g. web, excel, Citrix, computer vision).
- A lot of online training available.
- The licensing model is sometimes hard to understand.
Before the Computer Vision functionality was added in the latest version, it was sometimes hard to automate using the Citrix environment, but since the new functionality was added, this is also very easy.
Cognitive surprises we get in UiPath
We also proposed an architecture to one of our customers and designed it to achieve it on a PaaS, automating their daily CRM activities and the majority of back-office tasks which engaged many headcounts and repetitive processes.
- Easy to install and deploy infrastructure. It is convenient on both IaaS and PaaS platforms.
- Content, education on the tools, and blogs for reference are nicely articulated. Also, the team is available for technical support on channels like Slack, Forum and their technical help-desk. Last but not least, major learning courses are free.
- Security, credential management and data privacy are maintained in an appropriate way which helps us to focus more on the process part and our deliverables.
- They badly lag in providing support.
- Licensing pattern is very confusing. It is very hard to determine which one to propose to the customer when designing a solution.
- Script based automation to deploy infrastructure is quite difficult.
