What is WatchGuard Network Security?
The WatchGuard Firebox family of firewalls offers critical network security solutions for businesses of all types and sizes, including tabletop and 1U rack-mounted appliances to Cloud and virtual firewalls. Firebox appliances deliver critical security services from standard IPS, URL filtering, gateway AV, application control, and antispam, to advanced protections such as file sandboxing, and DNS filtering. High-performance deep packet inspection (DPI) means users can leverage these security services against attacks attempting to hide in encrypted channels like HTTPS. Additionally, every Firebox offers SD-WAN right out of the box for improved network resiliency and performance.

We use WatchGuard Network Security Firewall to protect network and VPN and AuthPoint for MFA login. Both products are very robust and ease of use is one of the strengths. As a sales consultant I study all WatchGuard solutions to propose de right ones to my prospects. So I'm a huge fan of WG solutions and how all of then are interconnected and can provide a single panel of glass to management and reports.

Firewall all the way to real-time threat and Endpoint protection and found good success in a suite of products that cover the ongoing evolving threats externally and internally. EDPR is new and has a few kinks with Exchange but in other windows environments and programs, it is a robust suite with good visibility into the environment.

We use WatchGuard firewalls with WatchGuard Network Security to secure and connect all 4 of our primary business locations with secure branch office VPN tunnels keeping all locations securely connected at all times. The configuration interface for these firewalls is so simple yet it produces the same level of security that the higher end firewalls that are command line driven provide.
- Management interface is simple yet creates a powerful and secure firewall
- Management of all location firewalls from one pane
- Free management appliance virtual machine to collect data for deep dives into usage and security
- Dependable technical support for the platform

We currently use WatchGuard Firewalls at all of our clients throughout their entire organization. They are used for routing traffic, to block external attemps at hacking, and to give us better protection against Virus and Malware.
- The devices we Sell are very easy to setup.
- VPN security and setup are easy.
- The firewalls have done a decent job at filtering out bad web sites that team members connect to.
Cons
- It would be great if there were some reporting options of attempted external hackers.
- The Wireless options/devices could work better so we do not use.
- Snat setup could work better.
