Overall Satisfaction with Acronis Backup 12

We are using Backup 12 (standard edition) to back up local environment (VMware machines, 2 physical windows servers). It is used by our (IT) department.

Pros

  • Up to date UI, convenient central management interface, web-based console (we use local web console)
  • Good to backup all machines (PC, windows server, Vmware) using a single tool

Cons

  • More features needed - tapes support, more advanced deduplication
  • Cheaper than Veeam, provides backup for windows server and applications
Acronis works faster
Small to medium environments (1-5 physical servers, 20-200 workstations)
