Overall Satisfaction with BigCommerce
As a web developer/consultant, I use BigCommerce for two clients. Having used self-developed e-commerce and other "canned" systems through the years, Big Commerce removes the headaches and ongoing maintenance associated with those other systems. Their support is outstanding and the platform is continually evolving to deliver a best of breed solution for online vendors.
- Responsive support.
- Flexible platform.
- Third-party add-ons.
- A Business to Business solution for companies that need to provide a portal for wholesale customers.
- Template vendors should be required to provide lifetime upgrades - free of charge. This would eliminate having to pay the template vendor to fix previous functions that no longer work - due to changes in the BC software.
- Easier order fulfillment.
- Easier user training.
- Better product discounting options & sale campaigns.

Changes in the core software a few years ago made customization more difficult for non-programmers.
BigCommerce is eons ahead of the ancient Miva platform and spaghetti code.
