Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT

We use NXT for all accounting functions. This includes budgeting, reconciliations, AP processing, General Ledger, and creating custom reports for auditors, tax professionals and charitable solicitation registrations. We use the product on a daily basis and rarely run into problems. When problems occur, Blackbaud's support team is quick to address the problems and minimize our downtime. We also use the Raiser's Edge product and enjoy how it seamlessly integrates into Financial Edge NXT.
  • General Ledger Reports
  • Trial Balance
  • Checking account integration
  • Ease of access
  • Speed when running complex reports
  • Speed when editing multiple lines of a budget
  • Import budget directly into NXT instead of through the database
  • I don't believe the product has had a return on investment or a loss for our organization. To me accounting software is a commodity. FE NXT is a good product, alongside many suitable competitors.
Our organization isn't utilizing the tools offered for regulatory compliance, so I wouldn't be able to comment here.
We fully utilize the reporting function for basic and complex financial reports. The reports all must be custom-created, so you can create as much or as little visibility as you wish.
Financial Edge NXT is better and more functional than Raiser's Edge NXT.

Do you think Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT's feature set?

Yes

Did Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT again?

Yes

Well suited to a small, or medium-sized non-profit environment. It does everything we need it to and rarely leaves us needing more. I wouldn't recommend it for a complex organization like healthcare. The thousands of lines of accounts would cause reports to run too slowly to be practicable.
