Overall Satisfaction with GroSocial

GroSocial was being used to manage our clients' social media accounts, primarily Facebook. We used it to build posts, create and change timeline covers, build promotions and contests, and integrate those with our clients' Infusionsoft application. The contests/promotions integrate into Infusionsoft Campaign Builder, to provide a cohesive lead generation mechanism across all platforms. We also used it to build Twitter backgrounds that matched the Facebook look and feel for the client. We built individual tabs as well for our clients for things such as newsletter sign ups, or other promotions, that integrated directly with Infusionsoft.
  • Integration with Infusionsoft is easy (Infusionsoft purchased GroSocial).
  • Drag and drop building can be used by all skill levels.
  • The contests were effective for lead generation.
  • When Infusionsoft purchased GroSocial it seemed like product development ceased. Many other companies surpassed their abilities.
  • They are very expensive for what they offer. Many other companies now offer better platforms, for far less.
  • When there was an issue (ie in a campaign, or link broke etc) the support team would blame the client first, when in most cases it could be proven to be a software malfunction.
  • Tabs are no longer smart phone friendly. When we stopped using GroSocial they had not set up the redirect link at that time. This may have changed now.
  • When you manage multiple accounts, your client could stop your access to their account. They could then stop paying for the service, and their tabs would still be live. GroSocial is the only one who could disable the tabs. It was not automatic.
  • The idea of GroSocial far outweight the frustration you experience when using the platform.
  • We saw no marked increase in anything using this product.
GroSocial quite simply does not stack up to the competition. They are years behind in development. We have moved all our clients to other platforms.
They built their platform largely on contests. They still do a fairly good job on these.
