Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)
We primarily use Kofax Power PDF in order to be able to make slight modifications to PDF's created by our accounting system, such as date adjustments, adding signatures, etc. We also use Kofax Power PDF to convert requests for proposals to word/excel files for ease in preparing document responses. In addition, we use Kofax to be able to secure PDF documents containing sensitive data.
- Signature handling.
- Document conversion.
- PDF editing - We use the convert to editable function frequently.
- Highlighting sections of contract documents for subsequent bids.
- Sometimes conversion to Word puts in too many "pictures" that then have to be adjusted in order to be edited.
- Convert to editable - the ability to show and resize the frames being used would be helpful.
- Cost savings.
- Time savings - the ability to convert documents to editable Word in general saves 8 - 16 man hours per proposal, at 5 - 10 proposals per month this amount is significant for us.
Power PDF was easy to learn, and functionality is easy to identify. I have seldom used the help functionality, so I can not comment on its assistance but that in and of itself is a comment on ease of use. I do quite a bit of document manipulation within Power PDF.
