Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)
I use it to convert contracts I draft into PDFs before sending them out so that they cannot be easily altered. I also use it to convert pleadings into PDF so that I can file them with the court and other administrative bodies which require PDFs. Lastly, I use it to sign documents.
I find it very easy to use and efficient. I use the pro version so that I have access to the Bates Numbering and redaction features.

- Easy to redact items such as social security numbers which it searches and locates.
- Easy to add headers and footers to create exhibits to pleadings.
- Effectively does Bates numbering for legal use.
- I don't like having to create a box to drop my handwritten signature into a document as the signature stretches to fill the box.
- Would like greater ability to create batch changes to documents. I receive a specific group of documents with every assignment that I perform the same crop on the first page and and another crop on all remaining pages. Then make it searchable, add headers and finally redact SSNs. I would like to be able to set that up so that it does all of those actions automatically as a batch.
- Significant cost savings in being able to purchase the product as opposed to the outrageous monthly fee charged for Adobe Acrobat.
I have found Power PDF to be very easy to use.
I used to use Adobe Acrobat Pro but Power PDF worked better and faster. Now Adobe only offers a monthly SaaS product which is prohibitively expensive.
