Overall Satisfaction with Planful

I use Planful for our budgeting, and tracking of actuals against the budgets, to supper business operations and decision making.

Pros

  • It is easy for budget owners to enter the budget information and assumptions, and efficient for FP&A to roll up the numbers and run scenario analysis.
  • It has strong reporting capability. The dynamic report, report collection, and Excel interface spotlight reporting enable us to slice and dice our data and perform analysis at different dimensions.
  • The integration with our accounting system NetSuite is seamless and it enables us to perform budget vs actual analysis at both the general ledger and transaction level details.

Cons

  • Workforce planning could potentially be further improved to allow more intuitive forecasting, modeling and budget vs actual analysis.
  • Planful allows efficient collaboration on the budget process and effective tracking of business performance to support decision making.
Planful allows efficient collaboration by budget owners and helps FP&A to become a better business partner to support their business performance tracking and decision making.
With Planful’s unified suite of financial planning, reporting, and analysis tools, I benefited from efficient integration between Planful planning data and NetSuite actual data, to enable effective preparation budgeting and tracking business performance on multiple dimensions, such as department, programs, and general ledger accounts.
