Overall Satisfaction with Taleo

We used Taleo as our applicant tracking system till March 2014. As a recruiter, I used the system daily to manage my open requisitions and manage candidates for our open positions. Taleo was used mostly by HR, specifically the recruitment team. The rest of the organization used the system to apply for internal postings and hiring managers interacted with the system in that they received candidates to review via an email through the system.
  • It is user friendly and intuitive from a recruiter perspective. The design is easy to work with.
  • It was easy to move candidates through the work flow and keep candidates up to date on the process via emails from Taleo.
  • It is easy to customize portions of the requisition such as location.
  • Customer service is often slow to respond with solutions.
  • Our company seemed to outgrow the product and they didn't seem interested in working with us to maintain us as a client.
  • Requisitions could not be approved electronically through the system.
  • Increased efficiency in recruitment - recruiters could quickly move through resume review.
We moved from Ceridian to Taleo. Taleo is much more user friendly and a better looking product.
We did not renew Taleo. While we considered it, we decided to move to a different system in March 2014.
Taleo is great for candidate management. If you want it to do more, it may not be the right product. It is best for small to medium sized companies. International candidates had a hard time using the system.

Using Taleo

When I was using Taleo, I thought it was great and easy to use. Our whole recruitment team was able to use it well.
