Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It's being used across the enterprise. It helps different groups build their own reports and we do build reports which are viewed enterprise-wide.

Pros

Good user management
Good visualizations
Easier to lean and share

Cons

More custom visualization support
Something like Microsoft Power BI where they have a whole community from where custom visualizations can be downloaded and used within a few clicks. This is for users to use different visualizations other than what comes out of the box.
Some of the options that are used are too buried to easily locate.

Alternatives Considered

Tableau Desktop

Because it was much easier to learn and build. However, something like Tableau and Microsoft Power BI are good as well.

We had mixed responses. Some of the bad responses were because of the trainer we got who couldnt answer user questions whereas the product had those capabilities

Integrations with other TIBCO products

We have integrated with web services built in BusinessWorks and with TIBCO BPM as well.

Microsoft Power BI, Tableau Desktop, MATLAB

Likelihood to Recommend

Spotfire is well suited for historical data analysis and data visualization, but not well suited for the scenario that requires consolidating the data rapidly changed in a real-time manner.
