Adobe Workfront
Chose Adobe Workfront
monday.com is better suited for a smaller company like the one I am working within. There are several other project management platforms that work within the Project Management space, but it's about personal preference. All of them have their pros and cons. Workfront is nice …
Chose Adobe Workfront
For me, monday.com is a bit more intuitive and user-friendly oriented, but Adobe Workfront has more tools to administrate the available budget of the project, the utilization and occupation of the team members and the general progress of the project. However, it would be great …
Chose Adobe Workfront
Trello is only a board tool, not too complete as Adobe Workfront to manage the entire workflow of a team.

monday.com has a really nice interface and is intuitive but it is not good for complex processes.
Chose Adobe Workfront
monday.com gives a slighly easier view of projects and ability to organize and access each project within a given task and timeline. Adobe Workfront is simple to use and manage, but I feel monday.com has a lower onboarding process and ability for teams to learn quick. Either …
Chose Adobe Workfront
It gave better structure for marketing/creative operations where intake, approvals and governance actually matter. Compared to Asana/Monday/Trello, it felt heavier but it handled standardised workflows, audit trails and stakeholder drived demand reliably. We needed a single …
Chose Adobe Workfront
I feel the other products have an easier user interface and ability to quickly build and manage projects.
Chose Adobe Workfront
My organization used Adobe Workfront due to familiarity with other Adobe products. But it was more manual than the system is replaced (DaVinci Workflow) so it was a struggle for my team at first. Using Asana currently, but we don’t have the full version with proofing so can’t …
Chose Adobe Workfront
Workfront is more comprehensive. The thing that sets Workfront apart is that using their api, we can write custom integrations over Workfront and design our own dashboards using that integration. This allows us to not only use tools provided by Workfront, but write our own very …
Chose Adobe Workfront
I am a consumer of Workfront for a couple of years now and am a major defender of this venture and the board apparatus for a few reasons. 1) I think that it's exceptionally natural for clients to utilize. 2) It is effectively tweaked dependent on the requirements of your …
Chose Adobe Workfront
We are in the process of reevaulating and looking for another project management system that better meets our needs.
Chose Adobe Workfront
Reporting options are available and amazing. Project templates are extremely helpful.
Chose Adobe Workfront
Clarizen seemed to provide roughly the same product. They quoted a bit more expensive, and not many improvements. The implementation cost was not worth it. AtTask also did a better job at Gantt Charts for each project rather than just 1 for all projects in Clarizen, which was …
Azure DevOps
Chose Azure DevOps
Jira is super clunky and doesn't behave in a modern fashion. monday.com is too flexible and doesn't provide enough feature set. AWS is the most competitive, but it's hard to wrap your brain around all of the features and offerings provided by amazon. ADO does a better job of …
Chose Azure DevOps
We love the multi-tier hierarchy in Azure DevOps for tasks, with epics, features, stories, bugs and tasks all available in a nice nested hierarchy. It's not as pretty as monday.com and doesn't work as well OOTB as ServiceNow SPM however.
Chose Azure DevOps
This is the first platform our dev team shared to us so I can't really compare but overall its such a great tool to have even if you are not from tech or dev team.
Chose Azure DevOps
Unlike the other tools I have used, VSTS has everything under one roof. The other tools I have used are specific to a particular requirement like code version control, task management etc. VSTS on the other hand, has all aspects of the project tied together which makes it more …

Chose monday.com

Workfront enables us to manage all our projects effectively while providing a comprehensive overview of team resources. The Resource Planner helps the team identify their capacity to determine whether they are over- or under-allocated. This information is crucial for project planning and ensuring team members do not experience burnout.

Azure DevOps works well when you’ve got larger delivery efforts with multiple teams and a lot of moving parts, and you need one place to plan work, track it properly, and see how everything links together. It’s especially useful when delivery and development are closely tied and you want backlog items, code and releases connected rather than spread across tools. Where it’s less of a fit is for small teams or simple pieces of work, as it can feel like more setup and process than you really need, and non-technical users often struggle with the interface. It also isn’t great if you want instant, easy programme-level views or a very visual planning experience without putting time into configuration.

The platform is very well suited for our nonprofit programs that serve low-income clients who need diapers, wipes, and period products. It has helped us run our programs, capturing information and allowing us to view the data for reporting purposes. The ability to filter data is very helpful by allowing us to categorize information to get a better picture of the progress of our programs.

Pros
Adobe
  • Fosters communication between team members.
  • Serves as a virtual "to do list" for me personally - I can track where I am with projects and what there is left to do, and when it's completed.
  • Sharing documents between team members that can be updated.

  • I like summary of subitems, especially with subitasks as subitems and add item tracking for each subtask it can show total tracked in parent item. Similar with other columns, like numbers, status, date.
  • Dashboard features, Many kinds of dashboard view available, we can utilize on the basis of requirements.
  • monday.com workform is very powerful, easily share form link when submitted it will create line item in board with provided data.
  • monday.com automation is very helpful in order to automate steps with specific rules and easy setup.
  • monday.com also provides integrations in order to automate processes if need to integrate multiple app together. or need to transfer data between multiple apps.

Cons
Adobe
  • It can sometimes be a bit difficult to keep track of multiple projects
  • Hard to include people who do not have a Adobe Workfront account
  • I wish there were better notifications around when tasks are removed or you are unassigned from a task

  • I did mention it has good visibility in terms of linking, but sometimes items do get lost, so if there was a better way to manage that, that would be great.
  • The wiki is not the prettiest thing to look at, so it could have refinements there.
  • It could improve the search slightly better.

All that I've said already is why. I suppose the clearest way to say it is that at this point? I cannot imagine running the 300+ active projects in eMarketing without AtTask; it simply wouldn't be possible and even more; I wouldn't imagine why we'd try to find an alternative tool when we have one meeting our needs.

I don't think our organization will stray from using VSTS/TFS as we are now looking to upgrade to the 2012 version. Since our business is software development and we want to meet the requirements of CMMI to deliver consistent and high quality software, this SDLC management tool is here to stay. In addition, our company uses a lot of Microsoft products, such as Office 365, Asp.net, etc, and since VSTS/TFS has proved itself invaluable to our own processes and is within the Microsoft family of products, we will continue to use VSTS/TFS for a long, long time.

Usability
Adobe
Workfront is overly complex, but it is functional as a tool to keep track of projects. It is a shame that sometimes it takes a lot of clicks to find anything. Workfront is slowly modernizing its interface but at the same time, hides certain information away thus making the experience feels worse.

It's a great help to get more information about new feature release and stay updated on what the dev team is working on. I like how easy it is to just login and read through the work items. Each work item has basic details: Title, Description, Assigned to, State, Area (what it belongs to), and iteration (when it’s worked on). See image above. They move through different states (New → Discovery → Ready for Prod → etc.).

I give monday.com a 10/10 because I almost never encounter any lag or connectivity issues despite all of the many templates, boards, and automations we have. As a matter of fact, I feel like the last issue I encountered was over a year ago... and I'm in monday.com every single work day. Not only is monday trustworthy, it is easy to find what I'm looking for... making the overall usability extremely hard to beat.

Everything performs fairly well. Every now and then there are user errors where an employee will not click "ok" on a note they've created and simply exit out (I do wish that something was in place to prevent this, such as a pop "are you finished?")

I know that this particular company has it's own Adobe Workfront employee that builds out things they need from the software, and meets with them regularly to troubleshoot. I'm not part of this process, but it's refreshing to see Adobe provide this level of customer service to people, and they're expedient.

When we've had issues, both Microsoft support and the user community have been very responsive. DevOps has an active developer community and frankly, you can find most of your questions already asked and answered there. Microsoft also does a better job than most software vendors I've worked with creating detailed and frequently updated documentation.

monday.com only really care about accounts that have 20 seats or more. While this is great for monday.com, it pushes smaller organisations to evaluate alternatives. We rate monday.com highly in our organisation because key staff have already got good experience with the application and we know we will get to 20+ seats one day. But, till then the billing model and lack of permanent enterprise features is a dread.

Most people learn as you go, a lot of this stuff requires trial and error throughout so my suggestion is to provide as much information in the upfront and keep it as simple as possible. You can add other tools and features as you go but everyone should have the basics down so no bad habits can start to develop. Be persistent with everyone, and don't be afraid to correct and talk through steps again so everyone is on the same page

It's been a while since I've used another time and resource management platform, but I would say that Adobe Workfront takes the cake. Its newly refreshed user interface is simple to navigate, whereas other platforms can be quite confusing when "drilling down" on a project. Also, Adobe Workfront has features that I have not seen in other platforms, including collaboration capabilities and the ability to upload a document as proof so it can be reviewed for grammar, consistency, formatting, etc., before being presented or sent to a client.

Microsoft Planner is used by project managers and IT service managers across our organization for task tracking and running their team meetings. Azure DevOps works better than Planner for software development teams but might possibly be too complex for non-software teams or more business-focused projects. We also use ServiceNow for IT service management and this tool provides better analysis and tracking of IT incidents, as Azure DevOps is more suited to development and project work for dev teams.

monday.com is simpler and easier to grasp, apply and navigate than ClickUp, but the ClickUp free version has so much more functionality available than the monday.com free / low-cost options (sorry, but it's true!). Google Tasks is really simple and I shouldn't really compare them - it's just really nice to be able to see my tasks right next to my Google Calendar or Gmail (widget) - the "all on one" view on the screen is really nice ease of access, but the power of monday.com outweighs the nice-to-have of an all-in-one screen layout - it feels clumsy to bring in all my Calendar items from Google to monday.com, so an integration app to the Google screen where you can see monday.com tasks would be amazing.
