If you are looking for a one-stop solution, or you can easily migrate to one system, then I'd recommend Almyta. I would say and have heard it is much more beneficial when you just go all in. If you have a lot of organizing to do, it's a very useful one-stop tool for inventory solutions, purchasing, etc...

Valogix
Valogix is a good tool for a mid to large sized business who has a lot of SKUs and much data that needs to be analyzed to determine supply. It is best used by savvy people, as there is quite a learning curve to it. It integrates well with NetSuite, though I cannot speak to how well it may integrate with other ERP systems.

Support Rating
almyta systems
Their customer support people are very detail-oriented and helpful. I talk to them more than I would like, but they do a great job. Sometimes with software, the customer support can be very stuffy, but these guys are pretty committed to customer service and I appreciate that. They typically can solve an issue within 15-30 minutes.

IBM Order Management is a good product but is on the expensive side. Additionally, I like to use MacOS and Almyta Control Systems is a little easy to use on a Mac. Almyta also has a broader range of support products. Personally, I really prefer Almyta's customer support and find them very helpful and responsive.

Valogix
Compared to NetSuite's default demand planning module, Valogix shines. NetSuite's product is very weak, very manually-driven, and does not provide the precise level of control that Valogix does. We used NetSuite's module for a while before realizing it wouldn't work for us whatsoever. It might work for you if you have a simple product setup, few SKUs and only one location. But in that case, you probably don't need demand planning software anyway.

  • It has begun to reduce time for us taken up by running manual spreadsheet calculations.
  • The training was time-consuming and difficult to onboard new users when we had turnover.
