It's perfect to detect any operational issues without going into cloud watch and looking at all the logs. This is a really useful solution where the whole team can be added a central challenge such as Slack and everyone can keep track of the incoming messages. This makes collaboration really easy.I don't see any case where it is less appropriate but you have to understand all the features before start using it.

I would recommend SAP Extension Suite [(formerly part of SAP Cloud Platform)] exclusively for SAP applications already deployed in place. The user interface can be contacted through APIs and therefore helps us adding multiple channels depending on the user needs. SAP application programming model if used will be a great help and eases the work of for an endpoint development.

  • There are many pros of this tool. It has proven to be a really good choice for our organization from the day it was introduced. It is one of the best options available for developers when it comes to finding everything on a single platform.
  • This tool is great in terms of integrating with non-SAP platforms, which allows you to automatically run different reports of bigger sizes.
  • Most of the features present in this product are simplified for configuration purposes and that leads to so much time-saving.

  • Still in an early stage where you miss some obvious features that any generic IDE would offer
  • You would think developers using the previous version of the product would already have their bearings, but SAP changed so much that they have to learn everything again
  • Performance varies a lot depending on your pricing plan, especially if you have a growing development team

  • The processes are well suited for the company and accessible everywhere, anytime by the SAP Cloud Portal for Cloud Foundry.
  • It's a paid service for the time you want it, so it's not like an on-premise solution with an initial investment and maintenance.
  • You can decide anytime if you want to continue with the service, add new units of any service, or have less.
