Likelihood to Recommend

Causeview

I think Causeview is well suited for those who are looking to track revenue and donor information in the same place. It is good to have your database with all of your contacts integrated with the same system that you use to process things such as donations and event registrations, so it saves time and we don't have to maintain separate systems for our development work and our other revenue-generating strategies. We also use reports to pull up information about donors and use that information for fundraising -- for example, donor history and things like that.

Eventleaf Online

If you are looking for a way to easily create and manage an event, this is the perfect software for doing so. My colleague and I were not looking forward to the task of organizing an event for our company, but this made it very easy and painless

Pros

Causeview

  • Causeview's support team is mostly helpful and quick to respond.
  • Causeview integrates event registrations within Salesforce.

Eventleaf Online

  • Easy to use: I was a first time user and signing up was super easy.
  • Intuitive: The progam flowed naturally; the order of the tabs and their contents made sense and led me through the process with ease.
  • Comprehensive: While I only used the program to register folks for a fundraiser, it has other options which I will totally use down the road.

Cons

Causeview

  • Event registration and donation pages could be better designed - not up to par with sites such as Eventbrite
  • I would like to have the option for people to register with more than one e-mail address instead of creating a duplicate record each time someone uses a different e-mail.
  • Some of my coworkers find Causeview confusing to use or difficult to find information.

Eventleaf Online

  • This was the first time I used Eventleaf Online; it was recommended to me by a friend who had used it in the past. I had no issues at all but only used it for registration purposes. It did what it said it was going to do, which was a total relief - one less thing I had to think about!

Causeview's support is a lone bright spot. They are often quick to respond. They are generally helpful, although brief in their answers and explanations. I would appreciate more detailed answers to technical problems, but I do appreciate their support's problem solving ability

Great customer service. My colleague reached out for support midway through planning our event and they replied quickly with a thorough solution to our problem

Alternatives Considered

Causeview

I did not personally select Causeview for my organization, but I have found it easy to use in comparison with other similar systems. The fact that Causeview can be added to Salesforce, and hop on our existing database, is very important to us and is one of the main reasons we continue to use the service.

Eventleaf Online

The Above event management platforms don’t compare that well to Eventleaf Online. Eventbrite: Not suitable for professional events. Best platform for social public events.ETouches: Choice for professional events. Upcoming, many components, but none that good. Lanyon: Choice for professional events, expensive, but more focused on hotel booking, venue booking for events etc. Event registration management software doesn’t seem like their main focus.

Return on Investment

Causeview

  • Negative: expensive per-license fee with no discount for added users.
  • Negative: unreliable servers that host donate pages.

Eventleaf Online

  • I’ve had numerous benefits since I started using Eventleaf Online for all my events and business meetings. I spend less time organizing and keeping track of agendas and attendees. Eventleaf Online does this all for me. It’s an all in one platform so I’m not downloading and installing a bunch of software and patches that bog down my laptop and take up unnecessary space. It even keeps track of who responded and individual attendee status, giving me a clear picture of who will be attending and who won’t be. Eventleaf Online has solved all the problems associated with planning an event.
