DameWare Remote Support and Mini Remote Control are licensed based on the number of technician users that use the software for remote administration. There are no limits or restrictions for the number of end-users supported or the number of remote endpoints/computers supported. As you buy higher counts of licenses, the per-seat pricing goes down giving you a reduced total price.
RemotePC offers regular first year discounts for all plans.
We have used TeamViewer. We can support our users without the connection dropping. The product has many abilities that DameWare is barely implementing into their software, such as chat. TeamVewer has this ability along with VOIP, chat, file transfer, webcam, and meetings.
We have tried countless other solutions (Bomgar, TeamViewer, LogMeIn) and I can safely say nothing comes close to Dameware. It's fast, efficient and has a simple interface. Very easy for users to use and cost less than other solutions. If your company currently uses something …
They both provide the same support, though I think Dameware has more features available than TeamViewer does. Between the two, I would recommend Dameware Remote Support for the additional features and better support.
Dameware stacks up quite well against TeamViewer, it has similar functionality but lacks the easy over the internet connections that TeamViewer is known for. Dameware is more of a domain-based remote support application and works very well in that use case. We chose Dameware …
Dameware Remote Support has more features than any of the other Remote Support products I've tested and it's much more affordable than almost any other program in this class. It has all of the features you will need and some you may not have even considered for this type of …
We still have licenses with some competitors software for other reasons, such as large webinars. But the way that Dameware Remote Support tops all of the solutions is with all the included features to manage the network and users, active directory, software, services, and more, …
We do use simple Lync screensharing and IM chat since we already use it. We evaluated Citrix GoToAssist, Windows Remote Desktop Connection/Manager, RealVNC, WebEx, TeamViewer.
I have tried TeamViewer, but it does not have all the functionality of DameWare Remote Support. There are much more features packed into this product compared to TeamViewer. I choose DameWare Remote Support because I used it for 7 years at my previous place and it served me …
Although TeamViewer stands as the top product for remote support, the same goes for its pricing. A small business like ours wouldn't be able to afford software like TeamViewer and we would never be using most of its features. On the other end, Splashtop is an affordable option, …
RemotePC offers a more cost-effective solution compared to TeamViewer, with similar features for remote desktop access. I selected RemotePC because it provides better value for smaller teams or individual users, offering lower pricing tiers and equally robust security measures, …

RemotePC is remarkably similar to TeamViewer. It uses a similar interface to TeamViewer software. When I first started using it, I thought it was a little slower, but after a month, I noticed it was almost the same. It is stable and does exactly what I need (Internet-based …
I was tired of dealing with the free 1 minute algorithm lockup, even when I wasn't a business. I prefer to pay something (a lot less) that I ended up discovering is even easier to use and better than them
Its just easy to use and does exactly what is advertised. There is nothing complicated about it. If you need access to your home PC from anywhere in the world on a computer with a browser or a smart phone, you now have it for a super low price.
It is pretty similar. Splashtop is good but a bit pricey. RemotePC is more cost effective. Over all my favorite has been bomgar, RemotePC is better then kaseya.
As I mentioned earlier all the above products had difficulty working with Apple Operating Systems. Difficult to set the optimum security settings. Problems arose every time an OS update occurred.
I purchased RemotePC to use on computers that had an issue with Splashtop. Splashtop was purchased due to the huge Logmein price increase. All three have very similar tools and uses. Logmein is a very solid tool but the pricing is restrictive for small companies. Splashtop…
I have used RemotePC. The controls did not seem as solid and refined as TeamViewer. From a budgetary prospective, RemotePC is way less expensive. However, TeamViewer seemed to have a more solid connection with fewer artifacts when transitioning between open windows. RemotePC is …
TeamViewer is much useful for large scale companies where as RemotePC is more useful for small scale companies. TeamViewer has more better benefits and Userinterface in comparions to RemotePC. TeamViewer provide AR remote help can also be integrated with most common used tools …
TeamViewer's cost is much lower than that of other solutions, and its security is far superior to RemotePC's. TeamViewer is also a request-based remote session manager, unlike other software that allows indefinite connection time. TeamViewer's free version makes it even better …
Very easy, no advanced config needed. Highly reliable even on low bandwidth. Strong encryption, 2fA session logging. Work on cross-platfrom like windows, Linux, macOS etc. Smooth even under average network. Session recording, unattended accessc and chat. Strong enterprise …
TeamViewer is always ahead of the game in new innovation and technological improvements compared to its competitors. I have always found TeamViewer's UI and UX user-friendly and quite easy to use. The security of connection is quite strong as well which makes it better compared …
Easier access faster than some of the others. We love the mobile feature where you can use the app to connect when on the road. Also it has the ability to access cell phones as well, which many times helps us help a client with their iphones. Great feature. There have been …
We are currently using LogMeIn Rescue now, whereas we were using TeamViewer. Our company changed due to Multi-factor authentication and more secure performance. To tell you the truth, I like all of the remote desktop support assistance apps to help others equally as far as …
All platforms and products are similar and each have their strengths and weaknesses so it is hard to generalize given that everyone's needs are different, but TeamViewer has proven to us to be not only versatile, easy to deploy and have a small foot print but also very secure …
TeamViewer is far superior to LogMeIn Pro for file transfers and
remote copy and paste. I believe LogMeIn Pro has the same capabilities, but using
them is awkward and not intuitive. TeamViewer's screen scaling, display quality, and multiple monitor support is far better than …
I feel like this is a very robust solution that I would recommend to anyone who relies heavily on remote support. Most of the colleagues I work with already use SolarWinds products to one extent or the other. I feel the price for the solution is very fair and a good value for the product.
While at the office, I needed documents from my home PC. I was able to use the browser at the office to access my home PC, grab the document and download it. You can also browse the web from work via your home PC, if you know what I mean. Framerates are great, so it felt natural the whole time. Also the app works on Android without any issues
I think it works well for IT management and help desk support of end users. I find it very useful to help users and send files to their desktop. Remote Workers still run into some problems with MFA and updates, both to the TV Host app and OS updates. However, it does give us secure direct access without the need of a VPN.
Performance - Though I have not fully pushed the boundary it performs as if I was sitting at my desk at home from an Android tablet in the parking lot of work.
Value - We all have taken a gamble when buying a product. This is one of the purchases that I am actually happy with. It is a great value for what you get.
It would be nice if the installed agent would be able to check in with the server so that I can connect to laptops, etc that have the agent pre-installed for when they are off network.
DameWare could do better with the mobile app. I cannot connect in from the outside with the mobile app to provide quick support if needed. This kind of defeats the purpose of a mobile app. If I am on the network, I probably have access to my workstation.
long waiting time to initiate connection compare to competitors
total lack of keyboard translation between macOS - Windows. No keyboard configuration options at all. I don't recommend macOS users, and non-english keyboard layout users.
Key combination transfer doesn't work or behaves strange
With an iPad, you can't take control of the device, so you have to tell someone what to do. Which can be a challenge because the end user doesn't know what to do
With the free version of TeamViewer you cant enter Admin credentials because TeamViewer blocks the windows to fill in the credentials
The free version can be really limited which can be putting off people because they don't see the full potential of TeamViewer
This application is one of my most used tools when it comes to supporting end users and the network as well. I don't have to run all over the place to get things done when I can access multiple computers on the network at the same time to accomplish multiple tasks in a minimal amount of time.
We need this tool in our day to day business. It is what we do all day remoting into clients devices. In this day and age we can access devices all over the world as long as we have secure internet connection. It certainly saves money in gas, and even if you are away you can help.
Because it has enhanced my ability to trouble shoot more issues during the day. Instead of having to go to each machine and spend time at the machine, I can remote in from my desktop and assist the person 90 per cent of the time. I also use it from home to remote in which saves me the time from having to return back to the workplace.
At this point I have no issue with RemotePC's overall usability. It continues to meet my needs for what is required for me to run my business. I would like to see continued improvements with RemotePC's allowing me to continue to work remotely. Waking or starting the computer would be a plus.
TeamViewer is a reliable and really strong tool for accessing remote IT platforms secure and fast. We don't know any product that provide us such strong functionality to make our life as a internationally recognized MES provider with DIAMES with an international clientele so easy. We look forward for any new TeamViewer functionality that supports us even more.
I use a Samsung mobile device; DameWare Mobile was working and then after an Android update it started crashing. I reported the issue to DameWare and worked with the technicians and developers to gather data for them to correct the issue. They quickly published a beta release for me to test (which corrected the crashes) and then published an update to the Google Play Store.
the few times i have had to contact teamviewer support, they were very responsive and give me quick answers and seemed to understand my problems quickly and easily. I did not have to sit on the phone for hours on hold or get passed around to multiple phone support techs before finding a solution to my issues, so i would rate their support very highly.
As expected without any problem! Alternate in-person training is another efficient way to learn how a product works. There are many third party supporters for TeamViewer courses available that can give additional ideas how to use TeamViewer for specific functions and features as we did require in respect of our usage.
I have never used the online training either. I have watched a few informational videos that were helpful when learning how to do a specific procedure within TeamViewer and get the most out of the software by utilizing one of the many features that are available with the software. Again, 5 if for neutral.
It helps greatly if you know someone already using DameWare Remote Support. I was fortunate as my tech support guys were using it at their hospital and assisted me through the purchase, download and implementation of remote support. As well as, knowing how many licenses to purchase at the time. You have to make sure that anyone assisting in IT can have access to the program with their own license.
TeamViewer installation and deployment to other devices is pretty straightforward and does not require much technical know-how. This makes ease of use attractive when supporting both new and existing clients with limited technical knowledge. I think ease of use is a huge factor in getting new clients. TeamViewer handles that extremely well.
We previously utilized LogMeIn. They increased the pricing of their solution which made us reconsider it. I inherited LogMeIn. I am not a big fan of hosted solutions for some vital IT processes. There was convenience in LogMeIn, but there were also risks about the solution that I was never completely comfortable with. I had utilized DameWare at a previous company, so I knew what I was getting with it. It was an easy decision for me to make. DameWare is an exceptional product.
Although TeamViewer stands as the top product for remote support, the same goes for its pricing. A small business like ours wouldn't be able to afford software like TeamViewer and we would never be using most of its features. On the other end, Splashtop is an affordable option, but its deployment is a little too complicated. RemotePC was our choice, with an easy deployment process and a pricing program that's easy to understand and within our budget.
TeamViewer's cost is much lower than that of other solutions, and its security is far superior to RemotePC's. TeamViewer is also a request-based remote session manager, unlike other software that allows indefinite connection time. TeamViewer's free version makes it even better for one end of the group to find support, while the other end has the paid version.
DameWare has allowed us to maintain our non-traditional approach to IT support. It allows our administrators to work from anywhere and has extended their reach to clients domestic and abroad.
Return on investment was realized as soon as we purchased the licenses. We don't have to maintain a large office space or overhead costs due to the flexibility it allows our administrators.
First call resolution has increased drastically since implementing DameWare company-wide. The user no longer has to wait to reproduce an error. We can screen share and view it as it happens and mitigate the issues.
I can use my Mac, which I am very familiar with and holds all my files, and also access a program integral to my business on a Windows-based computer through RemotePC.
I can go back and forth through Mac iOS and Windows easily.
