Devolutions Server vs. GateKeeper Proximity

I feel that Devolutions VLS is a great product which makes storing of secrets a hassle free job, as you can access your data in so many ways. Whether you are a small team who wants easy access to devices or for storing passwords to your internet sites to large teams with many types of devices to manage, and many types of information to keep safe.

The best uses that we have found for GateKeeper have been for medical offices. We have a customer that uses mobile workstations when doing patient workups, and this has enabled them to step away from the station, evaluate the patient, and then go back to their mobile workstation without having to log in via password since they were within a set range the PC didn't lock. If they had walked more than 5 ft from their workstation, it would lock by Gatekeeper Proximity so the private data on the PC would not be at risk.

• Easier ways to adjust inherit or at least access directly into a file/folder. If I want to give a user access to a specific folder inside a project, I have to manually remove his access to other folders in that project.

I think that we will stick with this service for as long as possible.

They always answer the phone and someone is available to help. Emails are answered immediately.

LastPass has a browser extension that I use daily. Granted I am a free user of the application not a paid user so there is probably a difference. LastPass does have the autofill option which is a great option when accessing multiple sites instead of having to open the password vault itself.

By far the most reasonably priced solution. The customer support is top-notch.

• We are very new to Devolutions in this company, so we can't say yet.

• Although the number seems small at first, minutes saved per day not having to log in / having proximity unlock add up over time. Each user's gatekeeper pays for itself over the year just by shaving a few minutes of time off logins each day.
• Training time with end users generally takes 15 minutes or less.
