Remote Desktop Manager does everything that LogMeIn does and much more. It accesses more systems than LogMeIn can and it cost way less than LogMeIn does. It is a win-win situation. Logmein does the connecting from the web but sometimes you don't want that overhead because you …
LogMeIn Pro, unlike their other competitors, has the fastest connection to a remote desktop connection and the bandwidth is always reliable (the connections have not dropped for the most part) which gives us the ability to complete tasks on time or ahead of time. Moreover, …
ConnectWise is a much easier program to use. The end-user either types in a code or you send an email with a link to the session. A small applet is installed on their computer so you can connect. And this applet is removed when the session is over. Constant remote access …
Cisco SSL VPN is great for a large corporation with the resources to invest in a more customization system. LogMeIn Pro remains accessible to the small, or single owner businesses looking for a remote access alternative with a very small financial footprint.
Rescue is faster for sure and is very stable. I do like the ability to use Splashtop from my phone/tablet if I have to. LogMein provides easy way to connect with your end-user and provided needed assistance, other do the same but this is a much better solution in my view.
When we evaluated Citrix Workspace a few years ago the app environment was not as easy to use as LogMeIn Rescue. Things may have changed but we have not gone back to re-evaluate. Some of our team members still use TeamViewer and the product is rated as highly as Rescue among …
This product was in place upon my arrival at the company and have found no reason to ever research or test an alternative. Should I ever leave for another company and a product like this is needed this will be my first choice.
The only previous product we used before LogMeIn Rescue for this type of support situation, we would use Remote Desktop through Windows. This option is severely limited and didn't allow us to support remote users or those with different operating systems. LogMeIn Rescue auto …

Remote Access
Comparison of Remote Access features of Product A and Product B
If you have lots of servers to manage, lots of credentials, different protocols, documents, other files, and need a single tool to manage it, this is the tool. Active Directory integrated, user and groups permissions, audit everything, keep data in encrypted files or in a database, customize everything, even the installer,
LogMeIn Pro is very well suited for small-to-medium sized organisations. The pricing is affordable and the implementation is easier. There are some concerns related to data privacy and security, hence I would not advise this to be used when your session handles PHI and PII kind of data, just to be compliant.
LogMeIn is extremely appopriate when you have to perform something remotely or mutltask and perform work from your location. It gives you the ability to almost be at the site and perform work. While LogMeIn is an excellent toolkit. It can not always save the day. Sometimes it is more efficient to be on site to perform hardware upgrades, multiple software upgrades, technology refresehes and or have someone send you their hardware for rescue and repair as it is too messed up to fix and or perform the tasks remotely. However if you win 60 percent of the time - it's still a great benefit
LogMeIn Pro by GoTo offers unattended remote access that’s reliable and always available. You can securely log in to a client’s device (Windows or macOS) from anywhere, even without them present.....as long as their machine is on.
You can transfer files during a session without disrupting work. I've also transferred some pretty large files at times without issues.
I like the dashboard as it makes it easy to manage and organize multiple devices across our client base. You can see online/offline status, access machines instantly, and share access with your team all in one easy to view place
Occasionally there is a UI bug where the sidebar goes missing and you have to delete some files in %localappdata% to bring it back
Would be great if it could also connect to serverless SQL instances like Azure SQL
If computer sleeps and wakes with Remote Desktop Manager open it will comtimes ask you to re-login for no reason - as when you close and reopen Remote Desktop Manager it works
By default it would be good to have clipboard sync enabled - disabled instead. So difficult when copying from my computer doesn’t work because of an agent sharing the connection and it will not let us copy information into the client’s computer.
Copying into excel is difficult. It will deselect things that you have highlighted when copying.
Would be nice to make the hierarchy easier when sharing files between clients and us.
Logging into certain environments can be challenging and require customers to be fairly techy to be able to understand how to get logged into client’s computers.
Sometimes login is pretty unstable on certain internet connections even though they are fine when they use team viewer with their IT.
I've been using RDM for about 10 years now. I started with the free version, which I used for a few years, and eventually switched to the Enterprise version. I can never go back now! I use this tool for everything and cannot see doing my job without it! Whenever we have someone new come in or bring in a vendor/contractor, they always ask me what RDP tool I'm using. Once I explain about it's features and all, they're usually instantly sold on it. :)
Since we have not had anything other than a couple minor hiccups with LogMeIn Rescue and due to the overwhelming success we have had in implementing as well as utilizing LogMeIn Rescue, I cannot see any reason why would consider looking elsewhere. Overall, we have been highly satisfied with LogMeIn Rescue and have no intentions of making a switch.
Due to the way our business works, the use of Remote Desktop Manager is limited to the IT staff. For that reason have given it a rating of 8, but only a limited number of employees benefit from this solution as the bulk of our consultants that support customers can not benefit from this solution due to security mandated separation between internal and external systems
I will give a Rating of 10 for LogMeIn Pro by GoTo's overall usability because it has a centralized Dashboard to access all machines and servers and a very user-friendly User Interface. Also, the remote connectivity is very smooth and reliable as if you are working on your local desktop or laptop.
Sometimes connecting with a PIN has a delay that confuses users. If there is a way to minimize the delay, that would be ideal. If the user's individual account does have administrator permissions, the user has to click on elevated prompts even if administrator credentials are on hand. Yes, except if the user's individual account does not have administrator permissions. I have never gotten the option to input the admin credentials and start as system server to work across hundreds of sessions. I absolutely dread using LogMeIn Rescue during this type of scenario and may even need to use an alternative temporarily. Frequently clashes with users' security software. Otherwise, I love the application.
I've never had to use support as I've never had an issue. That said, you can open a support ticket right from the UI. The user forums are active, and there are thousands of threads covering many topics. Very easy to get support if needed. This is an easy ten.
My calls and e-mails to tech support have been few and far between, but those rare interactions were always pleasant and handled professionally. Most support can be accessed electronically, but when the need arises to actually speak to a human being, LogMeIn's customer service reps are clearly well-trained and knowledgeable. Another plus: there isn't the language barrier that I've experienced with other technology companies' support centers.
We have never had to access support because the software has always worked as expected. It is great to have a software vendor from whom we know we will have no issue with glitches or incompatibility. We do know, however, that if we did have an issue, we would have our issue resolved quickly.
VisionApp is not in the list. This is the application we used before we got introduced to RDM. VisionApp was great but it did not have the same features as RDM did. Perhaps VisionApp has had some updates but we haven't found any reason to switch applications again
LogMeIn works well for small number of devices that need unattended remote access. For cost, LogMeIn in similar to GoToMyPC - works about the same - has similar features for about same cost
I haven’t reviewed other platforms like LogMeIn Rescue because I am not aware of any alternative tools available to us for assisting clients and performing troubleshooting. Additionally, LogMeIn Rescue is the first tool I have used that allows me to view a client’s screen, which is why I am unable to compare it with others.
A common place for storage for all users. Instead of employees using multiple different password management systems, they all use Remote Desktop Manager to store them now.
We don't have to buy licenses from multiple vendors when everyone uses Remote Desktop Manager.
Great to allow workers to work from home. They have remote access easily and can do quick fixes without driving to the office.
Hard for supervisors to control work hours. Supervisors do not know when the workers are really working.
Being able to even access remotely via smartphone has been impactful to trouble shooting. Your main go to person is traveling and no access to a PC or internet. They can use their smartphone to remote back to the office and fix a quick issue.
For businesses with small to midsize IT staff, the ability to remotely control devices that are not on-site and occasionally out of state is extremely cost-effective.
The speedy response time of LogMeIn Rescue has been very helpful in resolving issues for IT staff.
The administrative process has been made more efficient by the ability to remotely log into servers.
