Likelihood to Recommend For medium, to large companies, I have recommended Payline Data.
Read full review Stripe is very suitable for small businesses. They provide you with a nice portable CC scanner when you sign-up. If you have an eCommerce store Stripe will most likely be compatible with it. Even if you have a more custom site built using Wordpress/WooCommerce Stripe has a free plug-in that's ready to use.
Read full review Pros Payline Data has a great gateway and interface. Most credit card processors use a third party gateway to process payments. I liked that Payline had their own and therefore I didn't have to pay another company additional money. So this saves me money. To be honest it is a good tactical marketing advantage for them as well. If I need to log in and see transactions I log in to their site. The company that I used to work before used the third party, so I can't even remember their name as I rarely visited their site. At first, their gateway interface was very blah. It did the trick, but it was so plain and frankly, it was ugly. They redesigned it several months ago and it looks a lot better now. Very easy to use as well. Their API was very easy to set up. I did have a few questions about it and I was able to get very quick help. They quickly set up my account. This was very important to me. I had tried to contact several credit card processors and had to wait for several of them to return my call. I immediately got a hold of Payline and they had the account set up quickly. Read full review They are reliable. I can count on everything going smoothly with transactions. They are accurate. I don’t run into problems with collecting the proper amounts or being overcharged for fees. They have good customer service. If I have a question about the customer portal or a problem with a customer, they help me resolve these issues. Read full review Cons I only have one complaint and it is a very simple one and probably easy to fix. But I receive a daily email from them that has my automatic subscription charges that were done early that morning. It shows a summary of the charges and the declines. The declines show a detailed description of what transaction was declined. But the successful charges are not listed. I wish it would list the successful charges as well. The only other thing I wish is, I wish they were free :). But of course, they need to make money. With that being said, I think they are cheaper than some of the ones I have used before. Especially since I use their gateway and don't pay additional gateway fees. Read full review It would be nice to be able to see my Shopify payments from my main payment gateway. I currently have to go to Shopify for that. The ability to be able to offer discounted rates at a smaller threshold would be nice. Read full review Likelihood to Renew Stripe is the leader in the industry when it comes to any type of industry. All that is needed is a plan and then implementing that plan either with a developer, or through the help of Stripe's customer service team to assist in getting you setup. The ease of use time it takes to get up and running is second to none
Read full review Usability Best in class for usability. There's nothing close when it comes to how easy it is to use. Their knowledge base is great too if you get confused
Read full review Support Rating Stripe's support is nearly perfect – great attention to detail, fast response times, and a willingness to really dig into issues and get to the bottom of them. In the five years we've been using Stripe, the only negative thing I can say about their customer support is that it seems like there has been a slight shift to less technical front-line support agents, which means it's more likely your issue will have to be escalated before you get more information. This, however, has happened as Stripe rolled out more real-time support features like call and chat, and that really isn't workable if you're escalating everything right off the bat. It's absolutely an acceptable trade-off.

Read full review Alternatives Considered Honestly, I don't remember the names of the other credit card processors I have used prior to Paypal and Payline Data. I have used other merchant account services that integrate with the Authorize.net gateway. But Paypal was by far the worst. It was overpriced and integration was a mess as they themselves on their own site had outdated information. I wasn't just using Paypal's regular business account but I also had their merchant account services. Which meant I could process credit cards without people even knowing I was using Paypal. Their merchant card services were very sloppy and the API was a mess to set up. But the worst part of Paypal was their professionalism. On the other hand, Payline Data was easy to set up, cheaper to use and great personal and professional customer service. I felt very well taken care of.
Read full review We found that Stripe was much easier to have integrated with our site, as well as easier on the users when it comes to inputting payments. On our end, the dashboard and reporting are very easy to utilize and make it very easy to understand how our business is doing.
Read full review Return on Investment They have been easy to get a hold of if I have a question They seem less expensive than some of the other processors I have used. Read full review It makes getting money from your clients really easy It gives your clients the guarantee that their payment information is totally secure and confidentially used and kept It is very easy to integrate with online assets of the company In a couple of occasions, some companies have wanted me to use Stripe for them to pay me, and I have had a couple of hiccups. This was more related to the way that these companies set up the Stripe integration of my account to their platform. In both cases, the integration has not been possible and to this date, I still do not know why with exactitude. As I said before, the commissions kept by Stripe could be lower, and shared with the CC companies, rather than having us clients pay for all of o it. Read full review ScreenShots
