Digital Sign-In Experience Using Off-The-Shelf Hardware (iPad)

While consulting to a progressive accounting firm who was looking at improving their digital presence they also identified that they wanted to streamline other analogue processes and wanted to go 100% paperless. Prior to Envoy there was no official sign-in book and no consistent record of visitors entering the building. Envoy has been used for the past 5 years by our client at 4 office locations as an electronic sign-in book and the meeting invite functionality provides a consistent and welcoming level of professionalism even before any new clients even travel to their buildings.
  • Utilise off-the-shelf hardware (iPad) for a seamless sign-in experience.
  • Ability to send NDA's electronically and accept digital signatures on the iPad.
  • The current pricing is aimed at more enterprise customers.
Envoy is an excellent application of a simple digital sign-in experience that uses off-the-shelf hardware. The ability to use the Envoy passport app creates a gamified feel for frequent users with their "visitor stamps" and is very convenient with the Bluetooth function that detects when the frequent visitor has entered the building.
The system is very easy to use and intuitive so did not need to contact support on any occasion. Even when there was a major overhaul to the user interface, the reference and help docs assisted with finding features and functions. Overall due to the lack of needing to actually contact a support representative has given this application a high overall support score.

Software that simply works

We are using Envoy at our reception desk, to help us check-in all visitors, packages, and vendors. We had a problem with keeping track of who was in our building and had tried a number of different solutions. But after learning about Envoy, we have started to fall in love with the system they offer.
  • Guest check-in, that allows for signing forms
  • Capturing data and sending follow-up messages
  • Integration with our CRM is only available through Zapier, but it creates duplicates every time a recurring guest checks in.
  • It would be great if each device you set up Envoy on could have custom permissions.
Envoy is an affordable solution to managing guest check-in, plus so much more. I love that you can scan a delivered package and that it will notify the person who it was attended for. It's great as a lead generator, too. We host events at our building and have everyone sign-in before the events.
I don't know exactly how good the support is, but I'm giving it a 10 because I haven't had to use the support team. The platforms that work and don't make you reach out to support deserve to be recognized, and this is my way of doing that. Grateful for technology that works.

Envoy is my go-to visitor check-in solution

We are using Envoy primarily with Workplace, although IT is there to set up new buildings, add printers, etc. We have a lot of people that do not have company badges like interviewees, visitors, contractors, and new hires, and Envoy helps us identify who they are. We use Envoy for pre-registering people for hosted events as well. Lastly, we've been using Envoy for deliveries with great success.
  • Visitor notifications via Slack.
  • Delivery notifications via Slack.
  • Pre-registration still involves kiosk interaction.
  • Delivery notifications are sometimes delayed.
Envoy is, of course, solid when it comes to visitor registration as soon as they arrive at the office. We have seen huge time savings when it comes to pre-registering visitors for an event we've hosted. With a CSV, we're able to send out invitation en masse and the dashboard shows who's completed registration, who hasn't, etc. The ability to pre-print badges is awesome, but sometimes hard to find.
Envoy's support is top-notch. Their response times are very reasonable and their reps are very knowledgable. If they don't know the answer right away, they will go right into case creation.

Envoy is being using by our organization as a check-in system and invitation-to-visit system. It is customizable so our sign-on page has our company logo, visitors check in by signing in, taking a photo, getting visitor badge printed and signing NDA's. We use integrations with Meraki and Slack.

  • It's been working great and meets all of our needs. No improvements at this time.
Envoy is well suited fo help our company know who is visiting our company and helping with sending out invitations to our company that let visitors know everything they need to know before they come visit us. Integrations with meraki help give visitors our guest Wi-Fi password. Slack integrations let hosts know when their visitors have arrived and checked in.
Anything I've needed from support has been available online through their support page. Everything has been spot on for support and easy to find and resolve on our own without needing to actually submit a ticket for support to dive deeper into any situation or needing further assistance with issues.

Envoy is awesome. It's a great system where you can log into your conference rooms and it gives visibility to your colleagues on whether the room is free or not. Envoy also has a visitor entry system so if you have one, it only makes sense to get the other one as well!
  • UI is great.
  • Integration is awesome.
  • Give the ability to lock the app so you can't exit without a passcode; users like messing with iPads!
If you have meeting rooms and people visiting your office or you're interviewing, you need this system. It works with any tablet and you just need to set it up once and forget about it. Just make sure it has a steady power supply, set it to dim the screen or turn off during non-business hours, and you're good!

We use envoy for auditable and secure visitor checkin and badging.

  • Capturing of Identification/passport
  • Conditional rules during sign-in flow
  • Support for more printers
[Envoy is well suited] Any location where a visitor log/sign-in is required and a book isn’t appropriate. A “host person” is needed for some functions, such as ID checking and badging.
