I believe the IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation(CP4BA) platform is suitable for companies having a shared vision of digital transformation between all the areas, this will assure having complete workflow interactions and enough data volume to make the most of this solution. Like other software solutions, this will work for your organization but the question is "the added value for business area of this solution, justifies the complexity and costs of implementation?". I think IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation is well suited for cases where the processes are not changing fast, because you make the most of the platform with the integrations of the workflows with other systems and the data you collect. The best scenario is when your processes have reached a mature level like in Bank or Insurance companies, when you optimize the process but is not changing frequently.

It is very much well suited for automating manual tasks that are repetitive, and time-consuming like data entry, order processing, invoice processing etc. We also use it to automate the process of onboarding new customers and processing orders along with resolving customer issues. However, it struggles a bit while automating unstructured data tasks like NLP or image recognition. We use specialized machine-learning solutions for these tasks.

ICP4BA helps to use different components in a solution without worrying about the separate server/platforms for each components. We can design a Low code solution in very shorter time period. This is helpful for larger organizations with enterprise wide usage. Small organizations cannot afford the cost and maintenance.

IBM Cloud Pak is excellent tool to automate workflow scenarios. I worked in IBM Integration Designer v7. That tool provide features to develop process workflow but for UI(Human activity) we used another tool IBM WebSphere Portal. IBM Cloud Pak providing features of both tools Process and Portal. Another advantage is, we don't need to take care about local installation and integration of Process - Portal.

If you go to a place for the first time, You firstly look at their launching date to have your first impression if they just started and still beginners or they are the giants of the industry for decades, IBM existed before Apple, Amazon, Microsoft and Google and they are a true experts in what they do, I didn't take that chance because I wasn't sure since I am not a fan of their hardware but after checking out their capabilities in software engineering, I am going to give their hardware a go again. If you're running a mid-size business or an enterprise. Make sure to check out their Tools and their awesome Cloud Paks and you'll find yourself with all the tools you need to power-up your business to the max.
