Overall Satisfaction with Optimizely Feature Experimentation

We use Optimizely Feature Experimentation to manage feature flags and run split test for our products. We rely on these flags and tests to serve our customers with continuous delivery and make important business decisions and Optimizely Feature Experimentation hasn't disappointed us yet! It's easy to incorporate adding and updating tests into your workflow and there's a lot of flexibility for different use cases through features such as exclusion groups, allow lists and custom attributes. The majority of code changes we make rely on Optimizely Feature Experimentation to some degree.
  • Intuitive UI
  • Highly Customizable
  • Reliable
  • It's easy to accidently set something up in the wrong environment
  • It's easy to forget to press Play on an experiment
  • Exclusion Groups can seem confusing at first
  • Increased speed of delivery through feature flagging
  • Successfully rolled out winning tests
  • Minimized risk by not rolling out losing tests

Do you think Optimizely Feature Experimentation delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Optimizely Feature Experimentation's feature set?

Yes

Did Optimizely Feature Experimentation live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Optimizely Feature Experimentation go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Optimizely Feature Experimentation again?

Yes

Optimizely Feature Experimentation works really well for setting up feature flags with an easy UI for turning them on and off or ramping up a gradual rollout. It also works really well to set up split tests where you can split your traffic by percentage as well as almost any custom data attribute you wish to define. This is more for robust features and less for visual changes - Optimzely Edge or Web are better suited for that.
