Oracle is a great battle tested software that is used in our engineering department to enable the team to add, modify, update, and manipulate existing and new data that is gotten from clients. It is simple to manipulate and integrate to applications, and the best part is that it allows multiple connections

Oracle 12c is our enterprise level database that is used in conjunction with PeopleSoft to support out ERP needs like payroll, benefits, recruitment procurement, supply chain management etc. Since both PeopleSoft and 12c are Oracle products, they integrate well together and we receive great support for it. It is used across our whole organization and across other departments for their data storage, retrieval and management needs.

Oracle Database is a useful software that has enabled an organisation to practice data warehousing and also execute online transactions. It is being used in the IT department since it has a wide range of options in terms of supporting other platforms, measuring performance, and data mining thus solving various business problems.

Oracle Database is used in the IT department by software developers to add, edit, update and delete data. Once data is stored in the Oracle database, it can be accessed by different users according to their security permission level. Oracle Database's data consolidation, query optimization, partitioning, back up and recovery have been of importance to us.

In the organization, we use the Oracle Database as the main repository of all the data of the institution at the national level, resulting from the services provided to the population in the areas of real estate and mortgages, trade, intellectual property, movable guarantees, geographical topics and the national cadastre.

Oracle RDBMS is used to store the database records to support out End User application.
It is the world's most popular database for running online transaction processing.
It interfaced with our JDBC Java: Oracle: thin application.
The driver class for the Oracle database is Oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver.
Furthermore, JDBC is the API, Oracle is the database, thin is the driver, localhost is the server name on which Oracle is running.
Oracle Database may be licensed and deployed on-premises on a choice of platforms.
We were very satisfied with this.

We use Oracle Database 12c across our whole organization. It is our primary database product. Our PeopleSoft Campus Solutions uses Oracle as the database along with many other systems on campus. I personally use database tables with millions of records and they continue to respond very well. The performance of the database is great, I don't have any complaints.

The Oracle 12C Database is used as a core business backbone for modeling the process of selling products in more than 25 countries in one of the biggest retailers in the world. The database not only deposit the data but also contains the business logic in PL/SQL packages.

We are a hospital. We use Oracle Database for all our in-house development (HIS, electronic records, Invoice, data warehouse). We develop a lot in PL/SQL and this makes it very simple to have it all in the same place.

We support large manufacturing companies that use Oracle DB for their ERP systems, financial systems and a number of business-critical systems. They run both standard and enterprise Oracle databases. It is efficient, performs well and is extremely reliable and robust. It allows the businesses to run in an efficient way, providing data quickly when needed for business analysis.

Oracle 12c is used primarily as the database for our PeopleSoft systems - two installations one of PeopleSoft HCM and one of PeopleSoft FSCM. Oracle Database 12c allows for all of the transactional data to be retained and archived. Data replication, speed and disaster recovery are all addressed very easily with Oracle 12c.

We are using Oracle12c with Exadata for database consolidation purposes. We even installed Oracle 12c without the multi-tenant option as well. Oracle 12c with the pluggable/container concept is very helpful in our database consolidation approach.

It is used throughout my key client's organisation. Currently implementing it with multi-tenant for all development and testing on an EXADATA platform. Next step is to move up production for all databases to 12c too, also on EXADATA.

With multi-tenant we address several problems, one is the ability to get all developers and testers to be on the target platform of EXADATA. Another is to enable rapid deployment of development and testing databases.

As a company focused primarily on marketing we do not have a very large database footprint. However we are using Oracle as our primary data storage solution. We've recently migrated from MySQL and the improvements have been quite noticeable. We are currently using Oracle 12c in our production environment.

At Florida State University we use Oracle databases as the primary data storage facility. We have migrated away from IBM DB2 and mainframe systems. Oracle 12c is the latest version that is currently used for our production environment. Being the central IT department for the entire university we use Oracle databases for storing all student, faculty and staff records.

I work in software service company; I support various company customers. My current assignment is on 12cR1; Oracle Database is used for reporting purposes. One financial company is utilizing Oracle Database to generate reports from BO; data is coming from a mainframe system loaded to Oracle via Informatica. Data is loaded from various source systems and reports are generated by user groups. This reporting system provides users the option to slice and dice data based on multiple regions spread across the globe at one location.

Our products are built on 11g. Various departments across the organization are on 11g. Slowly we're migrating to 12c databases. While some products are migrated others are in the process of benchmarking. One of the cool features with significant impact to us is "storing historical context variables" in flashback archive (FBA).

The Oracle Database is used as a part of coursework at RIT. It is used to teach the concepts of database management and access. As a part of this course, all participating students, professors, teaching assistants are required to implement, use, and modify when and as required. Even though it is being used for a strictly academic purpose, most of the important features are utilized and well exercised. At times, these databases are also used to implement major projects. All in all, it does serve the purpose of learning since it is being used in an academic context very well. This includes learning about various database management techniques, implementation schemas, and other PL/SQL features.

We use Oracle 12c in a preliminary capacity in our test environments while we evaluate its suitability for future initiatives. This involves installation and evaluation in AWS, Docker containers, and physical servers. This initiative is currently limited to the information technology and engineering groups. It is being evaluated against existing, older Oracle databases to support backend for ecommerce activities.

My organization is a consulting company, specialized also on Oracle products, among which Oracle Database, and 12c is the last stable version recently released by Oracle. We propose this database to our customers, that are typically multinational corporations, and then create models for business intelligence and processes management. Oracle Database has always been the perfect tool to store huge quantities of data, with the purpose of analyzing them. So, the business problems that it addresses are related to creating a place where company data are collected and can be accessed by the company employees from all over the world. In my opinion, the 12c version is so far the best release of Oracle Database.

Development test environments which I have previously used were backed by Oracle Databases. As well, I have supported security applications which were also backed by Oracle Databases.

We use a third-party solution called Dotmatics which runs on top of Oracle. Dotmatics has developed a chemical cartridge against Oracle which helps the end users to run chemically aware queries against the database. This solution is being used by the entire scientific community within the company. The chemists use it to register new compounds, the compound management team uses it to fulfill compound requests and the biologists use it to screen experiments and upload experiment data run against various compounds. This then helps the upper management to get a 360-degree view of the compound properties and the associated experiment results.

The biologists also plan to use a Dotmatics module called BioRegister that will help them to maintain Biology data for enzymes, mice, rabbit etc.
