SchoolAdmin is a comprehensive software solution that is widely used by schools to manage the entire admissions and enrollment process. Users have praised the software for its user-friendly database, which enables seamless communication and coordination throughout the school.

One of the key use cases of SchoolAdmin is its ability to streamline the admissions process from start to finish. With features like application tracking, interviews, and acceptance notifications, the software helps admissions teams keep track of applicants' progress and make informed decisions. Additionally, SchoolAdmin serves as a CRM tool for the admissions department, allowing them to efficiently manage inquiries, communicate with prospective families, and track interactions.

Another important use case of SchoolAdmin is its role in facilitating the enrollment process. The software helps manage contracts and form signatures, ensuring that all necessary documentation is collected and stored electronically. This has allowed schools to transition to a paperless enrollment management process, reducing administrative burdens and enhancing efficiency.

Furthermore, SchoolAdmin acts as a central hub for communication between different departments within the school. Through communication templates and plans, users can easily connect with both customers and administrative staff. This ensures clear and effective communication throughout the admissions and enrollment journey.

Overall, SchoolAdmin has proven to be an indispensable tool for schools in managing their admissions and enrollment processes. It provides a streamlined solution for collecting data, tracking progress, managing contracts, and facilitating effective communication. With its user-friendly interface and comprehensive functionality, SchoolAdmin has greatly improved efficiency and parent satisfaction in schools that have implemented it.

Many users recommend SchoolAdmin for its customization options when it comes to admissions and enrollment applications. They appreciate the ability to tailor the software to their specific needs, allowing them to create personalized application forms and workflows.

Users find it helpful to have a centralized system that streamlines tasks such as managing inquiries, scheduling interviews, collecting documents, and tracking applicant statuses. This feature saves time and makes the whole process more efficient.

Users also appreciate the flexibility offered by SchoolAdmin's reporting capabilities. They find it beneficial to generate customized reports that provide insights into trends, applicant demographics, conversion rates, and other relevant data points. This helps them make data-driven decisions and improve their overall admissions strategy.

Overall, SchoolAdmin receives positive feedback from users who value its customization options, centralized features, and robust reporting capabilities for admissions and enrollment processes.

We use SchoolAdmin for admissions, enrollment, custom student forms and billing. The entire organization uses the program. It has allowed us to share information throughout the school in a seamless and organized way. Parents like it because they only need to input their information one time. We are very happy with the product and recommend it to everyone.
  • Ease of use.
  • Similar experience from admissions through enrollment and billing.
  • Excellent product support.
  • SchoolAdmin would benefit from a mobile app for admissions officers to more easily get information on the road.
SchoolAdmin is an excellent program for schools looking to have the benefits of customization, the ease of transferring information into less user friendly programs like Blackbaud products, and share information throughout the organization for specific groups of people. Using SchoolAdmin can be a bit of a challenge for schools that rely on outside products like the SSAT.
  • SchoolAdmin has allowed us to much more easily track applicants and data over time.
SchoolAdmin is focused on the school and admissions users. Blackbaud products were born for finance and fund raising. As a result, their admissions and school products are step children and not capable of the on-the-fly customization and adaptations that admissions people need all the time. Every school business officer and fund raising person celebrate Blackbaud. Any admissions officer knows, it's not right for admissions, but often get "bullied" into using it.

It's used mainly by our Admissions office to organize our inquiries and applicants, as well as our enrollment contracts.
  • Admissions management.
  • Ability to have all admissions steps in one place.
  • Accommodating support team.
  • Not as flexible as we sometimes need the features to be.
  • Data and historical information is not terribly accurate, which means we cannot use it for reporting.
Good for a busy Admissions office that needs a relatively clean and simple platform for families to complete applications and enrollment contracts.
  • It can be time-consuming to implement new features and to troubleshoot pain points.
  • It has streamlined our admissions process for us and for families.
We looked at moving from SchoolAdmin to another platform last year, but ultimately stayed with SchoolAdmin. While there are some pain points for us, it wasn't anything that other platforms would be able to solve well either, and the customer service SchoolAdmin provided was above and beyond.

We implemented SchoolAdmin to help as move to a paperless enrollment management process at our school and have improved CRM and reporting features. We utilize SchoolAdmin for the collection of online applications, admissions committee review, and enrollment contract collection. It is utilized by our admissions office, business office, and academic administrators.
  • Online application review
  • Reporting and data analysis
  • CRM features/ personalization
  • Better organizational features (foldering)
I would recommend SchoolAdmin for independent school admissions offices. I am not familiar with its use in other settings. It is most useful for offices who are interested in a paperless review process and targeted communications. They have improved their payment collection processes and integration with all billing is possible. We have not yet fully explored this avenue.
  • Improved reading efficiency
  • Improved communications
  • Improved reporting
Blackbaud's enrollment management product, OnBoard, was extremely clunky and did not support an online review process. The CRM was also not great. The only benefit of it was that it was a seamless experience, as Blackbaud is our academic software. The import/export from SchoolAdmin into/from Blackbaud has been no problem.

We use SchoolAdmin for both our Admissions and Enrollment Processes, from Inquiry through application tracking, interviews, and acceptance, as well enrollment contracts and forms. We use communication templates and plans to connect with both customers and fellow administrative staff. SchoolAdmin helps us collect the data we need, track our applicants' and enrollees' progress, manage our contracts, and communicate well.
  • The online application and checklist - because it is highly customizable, fairly intuitive, and quite effective for managing all the moving parts of our application process.
  • The online enrollment checklist, forms, and contract - because of the level of customization, the level of professional appearance, the ease of tracking and managing students in the enrollment process, the integration it provides to our FACTS billing and payment system.
  • The communications system - because of the possibilities for both internal and external communications are so vast, the ability to produce highly customized, personalized, and segmented emails, text messages, and/or physical letters, and the relative ease of use.
  • I would like to see the ability to send a single email to mulit-child families that include merged information from specific data fields for each of their kids, rather than having to send a separate email for each student. Although it is possible to send "family-based" emails, at present, it's not possible to include student specific information for multiple students in a single email.
  • There needs to be more flexibility in combining whole family and individual student (contact) data. There are certain data that either cannot be produced easily in a report, or cannot be combined within the same report.
  • Our re-enrollment deadline for returning students falls a couple of months prior to the time when new students begin enrolling. With completely new families, this isn't a problem, but with returning families, this causes an issue. At present, we cannot complete enrollment for a returning student if they have a sibling in an active status in the admissions application process. The only way around this is to move all the newly applying sibling to an inactive status for the duration of our re-enrollment window for returning students. This, however, causes problems for our Admissions team as they try to sort and review applications.
  • There needs to be a lot more flexibility in report formatting and customization.
  • There needs to be a "customer view" option for system administrators, so we can see what our customers are seeing.
SchoolAdmin is well suited to application and enrollment management. On the whole, it provides a clean, straightforward means of gathering and managing data. It is less well suited to interacting with multiple children in the same family at the same time. If you want a high level of report customization, at present, this isn't so great.
  • SchoolAdmin has helped streamline our admissions and enrollment processes significantly, resulting in a better customer experience.
  • It has helped us reduce paper use, moving from sizable hard copy information packets, applications, and contracts, to having almost everything online and digital. This reduces waste, contributes to environmental well-being, and significantly reduces the need for physical storage and archival space.
  • The system has helped improve accuracy and timeliness in data collection, transmission, and communication, allowing our staff to dedicate more time to relational work and less on administrative busywork.
