Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Duo

We use Duo Security for our remote access workers. We implemented Duo to comply with our cybersecurity initiatives. We plan to utilize it for more of our Cloud based apps. Currently it is implemented on our VDI Environment.
  • Easy to deploy.
  • Easy to use.
  • Easy to manage.
  • Replacing a mobile device.
  • Keeping customers
  • Meeting cybersecurity requirements
  • Overall security
The main benefit is keeping customers and staying on an approved vendor list. We have found that more and more of our clients are requiring more stringent cybersecurity policies to be allowed to work for them. MFA is one major requirement for access[ing] company and client data. Without it we will lose our customer base. We are finding it is a game changer when it comes to meeting the cybersecurity requirements of a client.
Getting the correct equipment to the employees, identifying the security concerns per employee. Sharing the same internet connection between work and personal family connectivity
Very positive. With DUO we can let a user work remotely and ensure the security with MFA and enforce policies.
The difficulties training employees on how to securely work in a remote environment. enforcing the correct equipment to use, laptops, desktops, etc. Implementing End Point management, and the biggest struggle is allowing BYOD equipment.
As I recall, we looked at Ping Identity. We did not go far into the evaluation of this product as our partner highly recommended Cisco Duo. From the initial demo of Cisco Duo and understanding all the features and pricing, it had all the features we needed to meet our company's and clients' expectations.

It is well suited in any company that required 2FA for their cybersecurity initiatives or within any company that is looking to make their remote access more secure.

Cisco Security

As a Law firm security is vital. We developed a cybersecurity plan around industry standards using MFA, end point managements and on-going employee training. We believe training is the key to success. You can implement every security software solution on the market, but if the employee is not properly trained on identifying cybersecurity risks, nothing will be successful.
Cisco is a leader in the industry for many years. Security is one of their traits. Working with Cisco will help ensure your cybersecurity goals are addressed. Nothing is 100% perfect, and it take a layered approach of multiple security products to be successful and Cisco and assist.
Cisco know security and working with a long standing company that addresses and offers solutions for security is a key to keeping your company safe.
We choose Cisco DUO based on Brand Reliability, Support, functionality and customer reviews of the product.
Hopefully AI will improve the individual products we use to secure our environment. Threat Actors are using AI to circumvent the safe guards in place, so it will take AI to implement quick fixes and ensure AI is not used against the secure environment.
We currently do not use predictive threat analysis

Cisco Hybrid Work

  • Working from anywhere (e.g., coffee shop, airport)
  • Working from an office or other company space
  • Working from home
We are at the beginning phase of this implementation. End point management/protections is critical. Dual Factor Authentication is also key. But Employee taring is vital to the success. The weakest link is most always the lack of training for the employee. We must ensure every employee Thinks before they click! They need to identify suspicious links, SPAM Emails, and if they are unsure for any reason, power off thier computers and call support immediately
We choose Cisco for the Support. Many other products support solutions are poor or sub-par in our opinion, every product will run into issues form time to time, If the Support options are poor, or takes days to address that is lost time and money. Cisco support options are best in class
  • Webex
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Zoom
  • Slack
  • BlueJeans

Resilience and Reliability

The ability to anticipate and recover from adverse conditions, attacks, or compromises on our systems
Aside form the industry standards, such as MFA, end point management, or any secure software solution, the most important thing is to address the weakest link. The Weakest Link are untrained employees. Training employees should be at the top of the list.
Reliability and support as well as ease of use
It is a very well thought out plan. One that was easy to follow and ensured implementation was quick and successful.
There have been very few instances when there were DUO outages, but they are usually resolved quickly. And with DUO alternative solutions we can easily get the users up and running quickly
We have experienced no issues with our integration with our VDI environment
  • helps boost our security by verifying user identity

Cisco Duo Support

I mentioned it before but there has not been an issue that the Support has not been able to resolve. The hold times I have found are minimal and the support personal. At least the ones I have connected with have been extremely knowledgeable and can assist with any issue I brought to them.
ProsCons
Quick Resolution
Good followup
Knowledgeable team
Problems get solved
Kept well informed
No escalation required
Immediate help available
Support understands my problem
Support cares about my success
Quick Initial Response
None
We had an issue replacing a mobile device. I did struggle a bit trying to figure out how to get a new device with the same mobile number working for an employee. I went down the wrong path and called support and they quickly assisted me and got the user working within minutes of the call.
We purchased DUO and ensure support was included. We believe Support from the vendor is critical when dealing with non-standard issue that arise.

Using Cisco Duo

I did require a little help form the Support team for initial setup and system overview, but mostly it is straightforward. Policies do require a little understanding on how they work and when to use, but there is plenty of documentation and support staff available to assist with any requirements you may have. I have not come across any issue that was not resolved quickly.
ProsCons
