Overall Satisfaction with Anaplan
We use Anaplan as a tool to sort our historical expenses to enable us to forecast at the department level. We also use Anaplan to categorize expenses at the GL Account level into more digestible categories (headcount expenses, outsourced services, T&E, facilities, etc). We forecast at the department level and use it for our budgeting process.
- Sorting historical expenses at the department level into the customized reports and dashboards that our CFO likes.
- Rolling up expenses at every level (department, cost center, FSLI, by our customized cost categories).
- Better UI and dashboards for reporting purposes.
- Real time integration into Workday for headcount forecasting.
We considered Adaptive but its forecasting functionality did not compare with Anaplan. Adaptive had a better user interface and better reporting functionality but it could not stack up to Anaplan's features. Anaplan enables us to forecast headcount and at the vendor level which is not something that Adaptive could have done in a better fashion.
