Overall Satisfaction with Anaplan

Anaplan is used across the organization in multiple different use cases, including compensation forecasting, profitability, expense forecasting, and much more. The business problems it is mainly addressing the providing a consolidated and consistent platform for users to conduct the business forecasting process. Each business unit does the forecast in a different manner and the challenge was getting them to do something consistently and effectively.

Anaplan is well suited for work that is repeatable and does not change many forecasts to forecast. Work that is handled in excel and does not change cycle to cycle is an ideal candidate for Anaplan. Anaplan is challenging to use if your organization goes through many re-orgs, structural hierarchy changes, or if the outputs required to change often.

Using Anaplan

Anaplan is primarily used by Sales Operations and Sales organizations for their annual planning processes. Our sales operations users are the power users of Anaplan, while our sales organization represent the typical end business users.
8 - Our organization has 8 technical resources to support the Anaplan models for our sales operation business unit. 100% of our technical Anaplan staff have their Anaplan solution architect certifications. Most of the team members previously were in Anaplan consulting with various experience in different business functions including, finance, hr, supply chain, and sales operation planning.
