Overall Satisfaction with Azure Batch
We use Azure to run instances for our customers. I'm the IT support side of Azure for our engineers who need access. I deal with the setup, permissions, and account lockouts. Our Engineering team handles the environment setup and instances within the Azure access area. It's definitely an essential tool if you have customers that deal with MS and Azure.
Pros
- Managing the users
- Having multiple environments
- Creating multiple groups
Cons
- The UI could be a little more clearer in my opinion.
- Password resets would be nice to have in any instance (not just the default area).
- Easier to migrate repeated account that may have been created.
- I can only assume there is a return as the company has been using it for a number of years.
- Like anything else, there has been a cost inflation to the tool.
- If you have no use for the tool then it is a waste of money.
They both are great tools and provide the services they have implemented. They are two competing companies that have different cultures and forward mission agendas. I would say Azure is a little easier to support through their user interface for the IT support side of things. Both tools are useful and have their own strength and weakness. If you're a dynamic company with a multitude of customers then both are a required tool to have.
