Overall Satisfaction with BlueJeans
BlueJeans is used within the company for virtual meetings person-to-person as well as group-to-group, and integrated with Outlook and room resources for very simple creation of virtual meetings. Initially piloted by the IT department, this is now company-wide for all users as the primary video conferencing tool. It will be extended shortly to included specific hardware in addition to PC-based connections.
- Sceen-sharing, Powerpoint.
- Multi-user, multi-screen conferencing.
- Allowing external users to connect to internal conferencing.
- Looking forward to updates to fix occasional audio degradation.
- Money saved on travel.
- More opportunities for virtual face-to-face with distant colleagues.
Using Bluejeans for multi-country meetings, room-to-room. Good audio and video for this, with responsive 'switch video to speaker' functionality.
After the initial introduction, there has been minimal support requirements from users to the IT staff. The only real confusion came from running a hybrid system using other Hardware and having to switch between meeting types.
Compared to (installed) Skype, Bluejeans is well integrated into the desktop and user workflow. Compared to hardware+software-based systems such as Polycom, Bluejeans is an easier system to use.
