Overall Satisfaction with Cisco ASA

The ASA platform is being retired and replaced with the Firepower platform. The ASDM IOS is very robust and stable. It has all the security needs such [as] NAT, port forwarded, ACL, SSL VPN and Site-to-Site VPN. The current version of the ASA has IPS capability.
  • Site-to-Site VPN
  • SSL VPN Group
  • NAT
  • Port Forwarding
  • Advance ACL
  • IPS integration
  • Lack of web integration, use Java
  • Short End of Sale and support for the latest IOS
  • Third party support is available
  • There is a lot of content for anyone to find solution
The web interface is easy to use and configure. Also, it has a better IPS option [and] you can manage various firewalls in one console. GUI is much better than ASDM.

Small/medium businesses which need close port, port forwarding. If the companies need remote access, Anyconnect is easy to use and implement. Connect all the branches via Site-to-Site VPN. If you need to consolidate all the firewalls currently there is not a product solution.
