Overall Satisfaction with eSign Genie

I use eSign Genie to sign leases for student housing. Being able to sign leases electronically is ideal for the students and for my organization. It saves me from having to chase people to get print copies signed. Likewise, it saves the students from having to print documents and then try to find a scanner.
  • They offer more varied pricing options than their competitors.
  • Drag and drop options when creating templates is very easy to use.
  • Best cost for infrequent users.
  • The software struggles when you upload certain file types. I've had trouble with Word files which is frustrating since it is one of the most common.
  • The software can be very slow to load.
  • Because the software is already slow, it can be very frustrating when you encounter an error. You end up waiting and you don't know if something is wrong or if the software timed out.
  • The error screen doesn't give you a reason for errors. It just says "something went wrong."
  • For my situation eSign Genie is the best option available and using eSign software saves a ton of hassle.
  • Due to slow loading times, I would consider an alternative software if they had pricing options that fit my needs.
I feel SignNow is superior software. It is faster, it is just as easy if not easier to use, and I didn't fight with the software as much. I ultimately changed to eSign Genie because I only need 20 documents a year and SignNow didn't have a pricing option that matched my needs.
I had a problem with the software one day. It turns out the software struggles with Word.docx. I was getting an error that said "something went wrong" with no other explanation. I tried using the Chatra chat box on the website, but it kept timing out. I emailed eSign Genie and was told about the file type issue. I appreciate their timely response by email, but I was frustrated nonetheless.
