Overall Satisfaction

  • Ease of use.
  • Scheduling reports.
  • New features.
  • They need to resolve bugs - numerous issues, and the answer I get from support is "that's fixed in the next release".
  • Ad-hoc reporting is so-so, does not work for us.
  • It is pretty intuitive and easy to figure out, and we have engaged many more people into self-service BI than was possible before, so in that regards it has been a success
  • Integration is also awesome - we have embedded it in 3 separate applications in addition to using the Jasper UI, this has had a big impact
Despite bugginess with new versions that we have experienced, the overall product is solid and flexible. Not all the features advertised work perfectly, but I don't think any one BI platform will be the answer to any mid to large sized company's BI needs.
I would spend more time looking to identify 3rd party resources that can help you with implementation and future projects - there aren't many people out there, so either expect to train your staff or pay Jasper direct for their resources.
