Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)

Kofax Power PDF is used as an alternative to Adobe Acrobat DC. The tool is preferred to Adobe because it does not require a login, does not require a subscription, and has a more intuitive user interface. However, Kofax Power PDF often fails to display forms correctly, and it is prone to frequent crashes.
  • No subscription required.
  • No login required.
  • Often does not display forms correctly.
  • Crashes frequently.
  • Signatures signed in Kofax Power PDF sometimes disappear from documents.
  • No specific savings. Kofax cannot currently replace Adobe, so we keep both licenses.
I like not having to sign in to Kofax in order to read PDF documents. Also, I appreciate that there is no subscription required.
Kofax Power PDF does not require the user to be signed in and does not require a subscription. Also the Kofax user interface is more clear and intuitive than the Adobe interface.
Kofax cannot replace Adobe because it often does not display forms correctly and because signatures created in Kofax are sometimes stripped from documents when the documents are opened in other PDF readers. Also, Kofax frequently crashes. Kofax support personnel appeared not to be aware of these problems.

PDF reader. Converting DOC to PDF. Deleting pages. Merging documents.
Well suited to display non-form documents and to enter text with the typewriter tool.
