Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)

We use Kofax for its tabbed interface and the ability to print/append drawings and document sets.
The editing functions are used as well to stamp documents that are in process.
  • Printing functions are invaluable.
  • Editing options are really good.
  • Tabbed interface is very helpful in our environment.
  • It opens kind of slowly.
  • Any improvement in the rich text box capabilities would be welcome.
  • Net benefit in productivity.
  • Cheaper than Adobe and better built for business.
Agree - very easy to use. Intuitive application design. If you can work in MS Word then you are fine with Kofax Power PDF.
I have used Nitro PDF. Their software is very good, but the print function is not as robust.
The software is easy to use and really increases productivity.

Specifically great at building document sets on the fly from different applications.

  • CAD drawing set creation.
  • Customer invoice.
  • Printing from our custom ERP system.
  • The print append and insert are great functions. We use them all of the time.
  • We use stamps a lot as well. The creation process is easy and intuitive.
  • The print function grabs the form caption of our custom ERP. This makes naming files on the fly easy and accurate.
  • More of the same. It is the best software for handling pdfs.
