Overall Satisfaction with NetApp FAS series
It is being used for the IT department or across the whole organization. It solves our IT Infrastructure growth issue. We are a small NetApp customer that uses mostly features such as Snapmirror and SnapStore primary of NetApp product portfolio. We have approximately 2 NetApp FAS in use today ranging from DR configurations all the way to small corporate data center installations. We are a long term customer with over 5 years of experience with NetApp in production and development at our company.

- We rely on NetApp FAS for data replication as well as application and data protection integration capabilities.
- Negative impact is it has a 5 years life cycle and as a result we find leasing the equipment has provided better ROI than the expense associated with owning and maintaining after the life cycle support ends.
- EMC and IBM
We once relied on EMC and and IBM for storage. Over the years we have transitioned to NetApp for all our storage needs. The main reason we have liked NetApp FAS is due to the many options and standardized management capabilities from one pane of glass. We don't have to buy 3-6 platform solutions to solve 3-5 different problem. We have been able to buy a single solution that is able to solve most if not all our problems. This is a significant operational advantage to our organization.
