Overall Satisfaction with Portainer
We do not have a strong Docker capability and Portainer made the journey into containers very easy to see and manage our landscape. Now we will try to move into K8 as we advance our capabilities inhouse. We find Portainer very well designed and thought out. It has been the stable of our IT department for managing containers.
Most of all, we love bring able to design stacks and also the back up functionality. We once had a disaster and being able to restore from backup was priceless.

- Application templates where you can add a repo and import preconfigured applications
- Stacks where we can do our custom or preconfigured images not found in the application templates.
- Container management where it makes it easy for non tech folks to manage all aspects of a container.
- To be honest I cannot think of much. It does everything we need and much more.
- If anything, it is down to us to utilise more of the capabilities.
- In house or cloud hosted, it is capable of doing the job.
- Stacks
- Host Management
- container Management
- Faster deployment time
- Reduction in cost of ownership
- We do not need extremely experienced experts as it allows us to make up the deficit.
