Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We migrated to SAP from MAS200 a few years ago, since MAS200 was getting too expensive. We currently use SAP for all business functions like sales, inventory, shipping, receiving etc. Initially we were using the on-prem version, but we recently upgraded to a cloud-based option, since the version and hardware upgrades were getting costly. Overall, we're satisfied with the software and service.

Pros and Cons

It is very customizable
It has many options for add-ins
It has been in use for several years so therefore is very mature

Sometimes the service might crash randomly, which requires a service restart
Some add-ins take a long time to load
Cost is relatively high

Return on Investment

Cloud version of SAP has been much faster compared to on-prem
Switching from MAS200 to SAP has increased productivity throughout the company
SAP integrates with third party apps better than MAS200 so it improves automation for us.

Usability

SAP, especially the cloud version, has been a boon for us. SAP has been used for years, if not decades, so it's a very mature software and a safe choice to migrate to from any other CRM or equivalent software/service. It's very customizable, so it'll work well for small to large businesses without issue.

Likelihood to Recommend

I would suggest companies that are medium or large sized to be a good fit for SAP. For smaller companies, i.e. fewer than 20 people, it's probably overkill, although of course it will function without issues. The best part of SAP is its customization capabilities, so that all kinds of companies with different requirements would be able to implement it.
